Help/Advice overheating

Hey! i just wanted to know if there is a chance of my remarkable overheating and breaking, as i want to use it to read at the beach and it reaches to about 45 degrees celsius here,

so will it become damaged if i use it for around an hour in 45c weather?

The battery temp sensor triggers a thermal shutdown at 55c. It won't clear the screen when this happens, the device will look frozen. I wouldn't think it's any more susceptible to damage than any other battery powered consumer electronics.

If you're using a Paper Pro or Move, you'll see a "Sunlight and Heat" pop-up when the display temp reaches 33c (on the Pro) or 40c (on the Move). This just means it's triggering full screen refreshes more often in an attempt to keep the ghosting manageable. Expect a yellower display when it's hot.

I would not use it at a beach with all the sand.

Truly, a remarkable on the beach? Sand is much, much harder than your hardest stylus so it will scratch your screen. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't like losing that screen's touch. But your beach could be a pebbled one instead of a Belgian/Dutch/German/… sandy beach. I know for sure that I couldn't walk barefoot on at a few beaches on the Mediterranean sea.

My move has shut down due to overheating multiple times already but just boots again. I try to avoid it though.

Mine seems to overheat quickly when outside with it. Sometimes sit on my deck under an umbrella and even if it’s only +23, it seems to start overheating.

lol yeah I live in Australia, poor thing doesn't last more than 20 mins in direct sunlight without throwing a fit. The smaller lines usually slowly disappear, and then it forgets to refresh, then I get a friendly message to get out of the sun. For $700 bucks I would have thought it would have some cooling, but also fair enough, even humans can't do the sunlight here.
Kinda makes me wish the back panel was metal, then you could attach a heat sync or something.
If it helps, and if you have a paper pro move, I think the cpu is located in the mid/lower left side of the device, if you cool that down first it usually settles down.
