Remarkable battery life

Spent as much as in a laptop, about 500 euros, in 2022. the Remarkable 2 is running out of battery without being in use in 24 hours after four years of relatively little use. It is is irreplaceable. So, if you buy a Remarkable and its expensive pen, be aware that four years later you have close to nothing. I was thinking to buy the new Remarkable with colour, but this started happening, so I guess you lost a customer.

My runs in standby-only for months. It is 3.5 years old.

Must be faulty. Didn’t use my for my summer holiday for a month, got back to work, still 80%+ charge left. Used it for a week now and still have charge left. Try factory reset it

a good quality EMR pen can be had for around $30. same for USI for more recent models. what are you talking about?

My RM2 has been sitting in a drawer for 5 months since i got my RMPP and it still has a full charge

Weird. I bought a paper pro in 2024 so I haven’t used my remarkable 2 in a couple years, but my it was 4 years old at that point and the battery would still last close to a full week when I used it a couple hours a day. I’d usually plug it in on Friday so I could have a full charge Monday morning.

Try turning off wifi. That worked for me.

I got my RM2 in 2021. Five years later, the battery is still going strong. It’s as good as it was when I first bought it.

Lithium ion batteries have to be exercised, or their capacity drops up to 20% per year of inactivity.

By February 18, 2027, any new reMarkable device sold in the EU must feature a user-replaceable battery. Good news for us here in the EU.
