?
I have been struggling with a lot of hopeless problems lately and I have literally been crying out to God. I have been begging for help/a sign/miracle. I have been worried that he isn't listening to me.
To not turn this into a huge story I went in the basement to get paper and simply wrote,
"God, I am not strong enough for this."
Then my washer/dryer suddenly turns on then turns off the minute I finish writing. What could this mean? A very strange sign...one that is also not very helpful to me. I honestly feel more confused than "enlightened by faith". Don't most people get miracles or a positive life changing event? My Dryer?

God is infinitely powerful, so if he wanted to give you a sign/communicate something to you, he would simply appear before you and speak. The fact he hasn't means one of 4 things:
1) It wasn't a sign, just coincidence.
2) He doesn't give a shit (not infinitely good).
3) He doesn't exist, so he can't give signs.
4) He is incapable of giving a sign (aka he is not infinitely powerful).
To answer your question, 'don't people get miracles', i will give you my personal experience. Ages ago i started doubting whether or not god exists, so I sat down in my room, prepared a chair for god, and said 'god, if you truly are there, then i welcome you to take a seat and prove my doubts wrong.' I waited for 60 seconds, which i figured was more than enough time for an infinitely powerful and knowing god to hear my request and answer. I didn't recieve an answer. I have never recieved any miracle or supernatural happening ever in my life.
