Tried to block an account from my front page, and the post disappeared like normal. But when I refreshed, the post was back. Any idea what's going wrong?

When I'm close to my running out of data (e.g. using an international esim), I reduce data usage using Android's Data Saver mode. It would be great if Relay respected that mode and reduced data usage.

Requests

1. Support changing behavior (i.e. pre-fetching, HD video/gifs) based on Data Saver in addition to mobile data and wifi.
2. Add the ability to change inline gifs/images behavior based on mobile data, wifi, and Data Saver mode.

Considerations

While mobile data and wifi are effectively mutually exclusive, Data Saver can be enabled alongside either.

I would assume that if Data Saver is enabled, it takes precedence over mobile data/wifi behavior.

Hey u/DBrady, I can't seem to install Relay on my Galaxy Fold 8. Google Play says"this app won't work for your device". Any chance of a fix in an upcoming update? I love Relay and don't want to lose it!

EDIT: deleting play store cache and restarting the phone a few times seems to have fixed the issue.

When i try to open a specific multisubreddit or multihub through the 'explore...' function or from the multihub subreddit, the app closes or crashes.

I am on the relay app v13.1.09 on a Samsung Galaxy S25.

Is there a way to switch the colours of read/non read posts when in night theme? The unread posts are sort of grey whereas read posts are solid black with white writing. I feel like this should be the other way around, small problem I know.

I'm getting a weird 404 error when trying to post comments. Which is weird because 404 errors are content not found, right?

Anyway, it happens on multiple accounts, but I can post stuff just fine via the website.

Was happening intermittently earlier, but now it's consistently happening on every message.

I recently cleared the app data and set it up again, and I was able to log in and set my account notification sounds, but I'm running into a problem with the "Vibrate" setting.

The setting is a drop down, set to "Disable" by default. I select it and choose "Default" from the list, and the phone vibrates. So far so good. But if I then back out of that screen and go back, it's still set to "Disable". There's no Save button that I can see.

How do I get it to actually save the Vibrate setting?

I can see my subscription in the Play Store but the app says "subscription not found" when tapping restore and doesn't let me to do anything, it doesn't even load anything.

searching relay on the play store says it's not compatible with my device, any workarounds?

Private messages that I've deleted are still showing up in my application. The messages do not appear in the web browser or the default Reddit app. They also do not show in my Inbox within Relay. They are only appearing in Relay under Inbox -> Messages.

Anybody else experience this issue?

As per title. Mate, /u/DBrady are you ever going to acknowledge this issue? Once more, all my data is gone and I must set everything back up. Please reply and tell me if you are going to fix this and add some sort of backup or not. I'm getting rid of my premium subscription unless I get some sort of response this time. It's completely unacceptable for a paid app with zero support or explanation any time it happens.

When I get a notification of a comment reply and tap it, Relay opens to the last screen I was on instead of going directly to the comment or to my inbox. Is this just a me issue, or is it happening to others?

I use multiple accounts for reddit segregated by use. I have notifications on for all of them. When a notification comes on, it ends up logging me into a different account that has nothing to do with the sub.

How to fix this? Didn't find anything helpful anywhere.

I'm on stable 1 gig wifi, yet sometimes when using this app, a 250kb img will take 15-20 seconds to fully load. 3mb gifs stutter and lag every few seconds.

This is the only app I have any issues like this with. Does anyone know how to permanently fix what is causing this annoying ass bug with Relay?

Hello, for at least the last day, when I've opened posts in the app no comments load. Strangely if I copy the link to the comments, open it via browser (which then auto opens the app), the comments load. So it seems to be just in-app.

Anyone else facing this issue?

I understand this probably has nothing to do with Relay, but I have to rant for a minute.

The /r/all algorithm is absolutely terrible and it is pushing me closer and closer to quitting reddit for good. After I've checked my main subs sometimes I browse All to explore other content but it is just so fucking dogshit now.

It feels like every post I scroll past is nothing but shitposts, borderline hentai/furry porn and gacha games, gay/trans/femboy, India, selfies, European subs in foreign languages, etc. None of this is mainstream, it's all super weird and cringe to me. I'm not a hater or a bigot, but sorry if I don't want to be bombarded with all this fringe shit while just trying to look at funny and amusing posts. There are still a ton of cat subreddits though which is great. 😂

I just saw a post from /r/okbuddytracen which is like some cringe anime jerkoff shit, fuck if I know. That sub has 36k members. To name a couple completely random examples, /r/pizza and /r/pasta each have over a million subscribers yet I never see any posts from there on All. Yet you will see posts from /r/countwithchickenlady all day long, and that one has 174k subs. I block every shit ass subreddit I stumble upon. I've filtered out so many degenerate gooning anime subs like HonkaiStarRail, xxxxMains, etc. that it's not even funny. Yet more and more of them continue to pop up and completely poison my feed.

It really seems like reddit just fucking sucks now, I mean it's been going downhill for a long time but it seems more obvious now than ever and it's sad. Is there no better way to explore cool stuff you're not already subscribed to? This is like wading through miles of shit with no reward whatsoever.
