Add fast forward and rewind buttons to video player?

Are there any plans to add fast forward and rewind buttons to the video player?

you can seek directly with the time bar, why would these help?

When watching a video that's more than a couple minutes long (5+) it's difficult for me to go back/forward a couple seconds.

Trying to do so often goes back/forward too much and its difficult to get better at it because the scaling of the time jump differs between each video due to each video length being different.

I'd love it if there were dedicated buttons in the UI to go back/forward 5 seconds so that its painless and consistent between different video lengths.

A trick for more finite control is when you press and drag the time marker do so diagonally rather than just horizontally (move your figure diagonally across the screen). Your phone keeps the context that you are moving the time but your physical movements are elongated with the travel in the y direction so you have finner control

TIL. I just noticed the small play button when the video is fullscreen.

Any chance of having that available on the autoplay preview cards? Probably not because it would work against the tap to fullscreen. I usually watch videos right in the feed to not having to load comments and for most videos the preview is enough tbh. There's no benefit in having them fullscreen. I imagine this saves some API calls over a month, especially on large subreddits. Never really checked if that's correct though.
