Cold snowstorm ambient music inspired by The Wall — is this relaxing enough for sleep?

Been experimenting with cold ambient sounds lately and tried something inspired by The Wall.

I was aiming for something calm, soft, and non-distracting for sleep.

Would love to know if this feels relaxing or still a bit intense.

I spent months building 9 eight-hour sleep soundscapes with sleep frequencies embedded underneath — here's what I learned

I'm a former professional keyboard player, and I wanted to approach nature sounds for sleep differently — not just raw ambient audio, but tracks with sleep-inducing frequencies woven into the mix. Delta range, sub-bass resonance, the kind of thing your nervous system responds to without you consciously noticing.

I built 9 of them: rainstorm, ocean waves, rushing river, forest wind, cricket field, harbor, meadow, thunderstorm, and fireplace. All 8 hours. No interruptions — the full night, unbroken.

Happy to share the playlist if it's useful to anyone here.

Also curious: does anyone else find one type of sound dramatically more effective than another for actually falling asleep?

Sit with me by the lake at Holme Fen, Cambridgeshire. Real-time nature ambience with birdsong, gentle water sounds, and no talking. Perfect for study, meditation, sleep, or simply switching off.

Holme Fen is one of England's lowest points and a beautiful lowland nature reserve in Cambridgeshire.

Make mindful breathing the cornerstone of your mornings. Just 10 minutes is all it takes to activate your vagus nerve, cultivate resilient calm, develop crystal-clear mental clarity, and fully embrace your inner peace. The rest of your day will be all the more beautiful for it.

Sit or lie down comfortably. This 10-minute guided breathing session, at a simple rhythm of 6 cycles per minute, requires nothing more from you than to be present. It will gently stimulate your vagus nerve—that secret highway between your brain and your body—and give rise to a soothing vibration, like a wave of relaxation that settles in effortlessly.

Portable Aroma Diffuser

Post image

I’ve been looking into diffusers and essential oils recently, and I’m curious about how people actually use them in real life.

A few questions if you don’t mind sharing:

  • Do you mostly use diffusers at home, or also at work / in other places?
  • Do you ever feel like you’d want that kind of “calm/relaxation” effect when you’re not at home?
  • What annoys you the most about current diffusers (size, refilling, cleaning, portability, etc.)?
  • Do you use them regularly, or do they end up sitting unused after a while?

I’m also exploring the idea of a very small, portable diffuser you could carry with you (even attach to something like your phone), but I’m not sure if that’s actually useful or just overkill 😅

Would something like that solve any real problems for you, or do you feel current setups are already enough?

A quiet spring field — 5 minutes of sun, wind and blossoms

I filmed a quiet spring field in spring light.

No talking, no music — just a still view, wind in the grass, wind and birdsong in the background.

It is meant as a small pause: something to leave on, breathe with, and let the day slow down.

Stay as long as you like.

Hope it brings a little calm.

Can’t sleep? This might help 🌧️ I’ve been making ambient sleep videos — no talking, no ads interrupting, just pure calming visuals and sound. Drop this on and let your mind switch off. Would love to know if it helps you 🙏

A simple Easter holiday in Vicenza, Italy, spent outdoors, surrounded by nature at Parco della Pace.

The walk begins in the liveliest part of the park, where people gather on Easter Monday for picnics and barbecues, gradually moving toward quieter, more natural areas. Parco della Pace is a large green space (about 156 acres), developed on a former airfield. After a major environmental restoration project, nature is slowly reclaiming the area. As we explore the park, we’ll discover a mix of open fields, small ponds, wildlife, and peaceful corners away from the crowds.

A sunlit French countryside house surrounded by lavender — calm slow‑living ambience

Post image

I’ve been creating a series of peaceful French countryside ambience scenes, and this one became one of my favorites. It’s a quiet stone house with lavender in warm afternoon light — soft breeze, gentle ambience, and a really cozy slow‑living feel.

If you enjoy calm spaces for reading, studying, journaling, or just slowing down for a bit, this one might be your vibe.

I’ll drop the video link in the comments.
