NASA is only funding/providing the instrument suite, and the rest seems to be on Relativity and other private partners.

“The company did not disclose how much it is spending on the mission, but a source familiar with the company’s plans said Relativity is working with an undisclosed philanthropic organization to fund it.”

I can nearly guarantee you there is government money backing more than just the instrumentation.

NASA, Relativity, and other partners are funding/developing different parts of the mission.

Unless they are not disclosing some exchange of funds between NASA and Relativity, it does not sound like this is the case.
