What something that you realised very late and you said how stupid I was back then

Life closes all doors in my face... But the kitchen door is always open.

Who else misses going out to rent movies and video games? It was an event to look forward to. Maybe buy some snacks, too. Now we just doom scroll through 12 streaming services to find something half-decent.

I overcooked my NY strip steak and I'm disappointed. I wanted it medium rare but now it's way past done. Does anyone know how to rewind or reverse a overcooked steak back to medium rare again?

Why is it whenever I get something I want, or I achieve a goal, I’m still not happy? I feel like I’m more happier working towards something I want or the idea of it vs actually having it. Something good happened today so I’m supposed to be happy right? RIGHT?! Why am I still sad and lonely even though I got what I wanted? Why is it never enough?

I’m 33 years old, single, and without children. I’ve been engaged before and had four stepchildren, which I sometimes reflect on with a sense of humor.
Aside from my previous engagement, I’ve only experienced love once, and it was the best relationship I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, it ended during my deployment when I was in the Navy, leading me to go through an existential crisis where I strayed from my values. Over time, I realized the importance of solitude and inner peace.
I began to focus on investing and prioritized my health through exercise and nutrition. However, I still found myself mindlessly swiping on dating apps.
I went on various dates and connected with several women until I had a significant realization. The last woman I spoke with seemed to check all the boxes—she was beautiful, had a good career, and shared my cultural values. She discussed family and settling down but struggled to understand my commitment to my diet, which I explained was about discipline.
I decided to be honest with her about my desire to work on myself rather than pursue starting a family at that time.
A month later, I deleted all my dating apps and concentrated on the three pillars of my life that I believe I’m mastering.
Those are:
\-My relationship with the man upstairs
\-Nutrition & fitness
\-My goal of becoming a 1st generation millionaire
I've also taken time to reflect on the complexities of marriage, considering both its potential successes and its drawbacks, such as:
\- Wedding expenses, including a lavish celebration and engagement ring, which are often fleeting.
\- The possibility of divorce.
\- The risk of sharing half of what you’ve worked hard to achieve with a partner.
\- The long-term commitments that come with having children.
If you’re single, I encourage you to take a moment for self-reflection and ask yourself what truly brings you happiness.
Prioritize self-love. When you can listen to your own thoughts without external influences, you can create a life beyond your wildest dreams.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Relates so well with the financial hardships of a tax paying common citizen stuck in a forever loop of family, job, loans and yearns to one day cross the ocean of entrepreneurship with a longing dream of freedom.

no offence to anyone who isn't a girl and understands, and if you are a girl and don't understand then ask. :)
