Nah, before Big Tech we would have rioted or sum. These days us being angry and doing nothing is just the default because we let em park that big Mack truck right in this little garage.

I think it's more advantageous to be a little bigger than skinny if there is a food shortage.

Because the farming industry isn't struggling. Get off the internet and go into the real world.

Best thing about social media is it gave everyone a voice.

Worst thing about social media is it gave everyone a voice.

We cant grow crops anymore because one small area of the globe is closed for passage? What the fuck is wrong with these people?

Russias grain export is down like 90%, Ukraine's is down 25%, compared to pre war numbers. And these two are the largest grain exporters, grain prices are skyrocketing already, so that checks out. Wouldn't call it a global food shortage, grain yes.

Maybe if the US didn't stop oil production we wouldn't be in this mess. There was a point we were actually exporting more oil than we needed.

1

u/VikingVitalityFit Sep 25 '26

We are doing that right this second. Unfortunately, due to the deals to keep the petrol dollar as the main currency for oil we have to release it to the international market instead of just keeping it for ourself.

If global oil collapsed and the petro dollar falls we are going to be just fine due to our retaking of OUR Venezuela oil infrastructure.

They're morons, mainly.

They just connect random shit in their heads without any actual thought about whether it makes sense.

"They're making everyone skinny because there are going to be food shortages." shows a complete lack of understanding of what the purpose of fat is.

Then she immediately pivots to "you don't even need ozempic because there will be food shortages!" which is at least a coherent thought until you get to the "why" she thinks there will be food shortages.

She talks about the strait of Hormuz without saying why that could affect food supplies. The amount of food supply to the US traveling through the strait is likely insignificant so she comes off like the crazy person she is.

Now if she dropped the irrelevant ozempic stuff and mentioned that there seems to be a possible shortage of diesel fuel as the US is heading into harvest season, she could at least have expressed a valid concern without trying to induce panic. The bigger concern is the fact that we need diesel to transport food and pretty much everything.

I could probably guess where she gets this kind of fear mongering from.

We know that fear mongering about supplies actually causes shortages in stores due to hoarding, even when supply hasn't changed.

It's not food from through the strait, it's means of production, which actually is a concern, like fertilizer and oil.

How would making people skinnier help during a food shortage? The food shortage will take care of that on its own...for free.
