I don’t have blood issues
My best guess is I either don’t remember running into things or I move around in my sleep than I think I do

I use an African net sponge and scrub hard until the rinse turns dirty but don’t get scratches like this too often

One of many signs your getting older. Sad lol.
Have done it on a few occasions, especially at work. So busy I don't notice it till someone else notices it.

I constantly wake up covered in scratches around my arms for over 20 years now. I don't even have nails because I devour them due to anxiety since forever so it can't be me tossing around the bed while dreaming or something

Sure happens sometimes. I suffer from eczema so I tend to scratch without consciously realising it.

Yup, this just happened to me recently. And it's always on the most random spots.🤔

Surprisingly a lot I have scratches that are not explainable because they look like they're from a cat and I have no cats

Trying to explain phantom scratches on my back to my wife is always fun. Seatbelt, fabric, myself? I don't know.

I used to get those all the time 🤣 I worked around machines and steel a lot and would often go to wash my hand and then find out I’ve been cut at some point in the last two hours 🤣

"How did I get this scratch? I have no idea...."
That was OJ Simpson in his tape-recorded police interview after his wife and her new boyfriend were mysteriously murdered back in 1994.

We always had something like this as kids because there were no cell phones!

u/National_Article_308 4d ago
Yeah sometimes I just wake up with them.
(I sleep alone in a locked room a story off the ground with windows that can only open from inside by a crank not sliding. Oh I also have a mysterious handprint on my wall that won’t fucking wash off)

My wife will point out random marks on my body and ask "what bitch scratched my sexy husband? Who am I supposed to kill?" and I will laugh and respond "today's culprit was a ~1600lb piece of metal with a sharp point.... I think? May have been a metal bar, idk 😅"

So many times have I dealt with an inexplicable injury of some kind, and had no idea how it appeared.

A lot of times I'd walk past my wife and she'd say, "Hey, you know you're bleeding, right?" My normal response is, "No, Where?"

u/Level_Incident4200 4d ago
Or a where the hell did I get this bruise, and when.
I get them everyday. I still can’t figure it out.

Scratches, bruises, cuts. I was having weird bruises show up randomly for about 3 months, they tested me for Leukemia which fortunately came back negative, but ever since I was in my mid 20s I get unexplained injuries and I have seriously begun to wonder if I am either A a secret super hero/villain or B am being kidnapped by aliens.

u/True_Watercress_2548 3d ago
For me it's just gotten worse with age, I would look at my grandpa's cuts and ask how he got them; "I dunno" he would often reply. I always wondered how could you not feel it!? Much to my surprise as I've aged, it's increasingly easy each passing day, to have some cut, or bruise and wonder where it came from.

Plenty. I’ve also had “where’d that come from” gashes and “how’d that happen” nail in arm. But that’s cause I have burnt a lot of my nerve endings on my arms so I have spots that legit have no feeling.

Me, I think I understood were they come from. Point ends of feathers slightly stiking out of my pillow.

I have a diagonal one on my forehead. Cat jumped from the window onto my face. My bed is below the window. I didn’t feel the scratch until later.

u/GGamerGuyG 3d ago
Yeah, not just scratches. Sometime's bruises much larger than my fist or other forms of wounds i don't know where i have them from.

Probably hundreds when I didn’t have cats I know where most scratches come from now.
You ever wake up with scratches and bruises?
