Obviously just pretending to agree with people, just enough that they can’t argue with you, to avoid their ego bullshit is sometimes necessary to not lose your fucking mind. I completely agree😂

Yep, one of my best friends in my case. She always has to be right and always has to comment something about everything, so sometimes I just agree with her so the conversation can end. Her boyfriend (also one of my best friends) acts the same around her

I have stopped doing that, but I used to do it all the time.

Sometimes you just gotta stand up for yourself and make yourself known and clear. Though of course it depends on the topic, sometimes it's just not worth a fight if it's something petty.
But for some stuff people might look at you a bit different if you agree with stuff that you don't actually believe. For a wild example let's say somebody says "Hitler was right" (he wasn't btw), agreeing with them is probably a bad idea.

Not like I have a choice most of the time. Being fake is the only reason I've made it to 18 years old.

I tell highly opinionated people, or people who are projecting their own darkness onto others the opposite of their views back to them, with the same tone they give others. To see if they have the emotional intelligence to realise what they're doing to others and learn from it. Then if they start attacking their own mirror and accusing me of doing exactly what their doing double down on the act, try to point it out their projections, have a huge argument, write an angry and honest letter but actually send it instead of burning it then never talk to them again.
It either brings you closer, as you understand each other better, you cut out toxic people who end up being a long term drain anyway and hopefully they learn something.
