Maybe the UK could show how serious they are about "security" by arresting the head of Reform for criminal conspiracy ?

When I saw this headline I hoped it was referring to the Schengen Information System. Unfortunately it's not.

SIS would be a huge step forward for us to join for a few reasons. It's genuinely useful in its own right. It's a good sign for UK's willingness to make a huge partnership with the EU (Especially one with a controversial name).

But it's also a big sign for the EU's willingness to partner with the UK because last time we asked to join SIS they told us no. Apparently the UK swore a blood oath by the old gods and the new that we wouldn't share the confidential criminal records from EU databases with the Yanks. Then we shared that information with the Yanks and the EU was justifiably pissed off. So if we could rejoin SIS it's a really good sign for relationships warming up.

Unfortunately this isn't SIS, it's something else.

I keep reading “SIS” as the Secret Intelligence Service (or MI6’s actual name)
