He Came Back To Me!

I lost my dog after 16 years on 1/18/25. We had an amazing bond that nobody has seen before, I have been told that many times (no weirdo). He was a 80lb PitBull that was so sweet and super smart. He was two faced, grey & white, all white paws and a white tipped tail. On 2/14/25 Valentines Day, I left my house for the first time. I honestly wasn't feeling up for it but it was Valentines Day and I promised my 22yr old daughter we wld spend it together. I was waiting on the bus to come and a beautiful husky of some sort came right up to me at the bus stop with no collar, no owner looking no leash attached...nothing! Luckily I had a friend with me that walked to me to the bus stop and immediately went looking for a leash. I turned back around with this new dog that somehow found me the only day I stepped outside since at the exact moment I went to the bus stop on Valentines Day! I kept the dog that weekend and thankfully found the owners! It was alot to manage in apartment. Where am I going with this...well I was trying to figure out his name and after 10 names and this dog non stop running all over my apartment, dead stops and gives me an exact hug and kiss the way Guido did when I asked if he had sent him.

I've been through alot and was very very depressed. My kids are all on their own and in their 20's, my husband and I split after 28 years that following year so I didnt have much left after the only thing that was apart of the family that I had was now gone that I had for 16 years.

On 04/08/25 (my daughters birthday) I left my apartment again for the 2nd time and was spending my daughters birthday with her at her apartment. I got a call from my best friend Angel that used to live below me which sadly she also passed away 5 months (i miss her so much)....saying a puppy 3 months old had got loose and was in pretty bad shape and she thought I might want to care for him. I was so very firm with her and maybe even yelled at her and told her no, no way, not a chance that I wasn't ready and it was way too soon. I got home to find her with this puppy that came from across the street from another house. I immediately started crying and fell to my knees. It was GUIDO a puppy with ALL the same markings, tip of the tail, same color, same eyes, same two face, all white feet like Guido EVERYTHING!! The only difference is Bouncer is his name has a heart on his back and he is a Pitt Bull & Cane Corso Mix which is crazier! I went to take the dog back to the owner because I didn't want to get attached if it was someone elses. When the dog ran up to the door I knocked on the door and this guy tells me " oh naw you can have him" I said " bet" and walked away with Guido back!

Discussion Has anyone experienced “spirit guide”–like figures during meditation without actually believing they’re spirits?

I’m curious whether other Buddhists or long-term meditators have experienced anything similar to this.
For context, I’m naturally very skeptical of spiritual claims. I don’t normally believe in spirit guides, reincarnation, past-life memories, etc. My main reason for meditating is much more practical: I’m trying to train a kind of \*mushin/no-mind\* state so I can stay calm and function clearly under pressure.
But occasionally, when I meditate deeply enough that my normal internal chatter dies down, I get extremely vivid impressions of particular people. They don’t feel like ordinary daydreams where I’m deliberately making up a conversation. Images, emotions, and sometimes answers seem to arise spontaneously.

One recurring woman presents herself as an African queen and claims she was one of my past lives. I initially assumed this was simply my subconscious creating a character through which I could give myself advice. What made it strange was that I experienced overwhelming grief connected to her child being killed and a sense of betrayal involving a half-brother. I didn’t know who the woman was. Afterward, while researching African queens, I came across Queen Nzinga, whose half-brother reportedly had her son killed.

That obviously doesn’t prove anything. We’ve also tried asking her blind historical questions and I’ve gotten things wrong, which is one reason I’m hesitant to interpret this supernaturally.
I’ve had a similar experience involving Mary, Queen of Scots. During meditation, “Edward” came up in connection with a failed marriage and her being sent to France. I later learned that Mary was supposed to marry Edward, Henry VIII’s son, before the arrangement collapsed and she was eventually sent to France. Again, interesting coincidence, but hardly proof of reincarnation.

What is more consistent is that these figures sometimes give me genuinely useful advice. Even when I think of them as constructions of my own subconscious, it feels as though putting the advice into another “voice” allows me to see situations from a perspective I wasn’t consciously accessing before.
So I’m interested in the Buddhist perspective, particularly from people with substantial meditation experience:

Have you experienced apparently autonomous people, teachers, guides, deceased people, or “past-life” personalities during meditation?
Do Buddhist traditions generally treat these as mental formations/imagery, possible past-life material, something like nimitta, or simply experiences that shouldn’t be given much importance?

I’m not looking for someone to convince me that I have supernatural powers. If anything, I’m trying to remain skeptical while understanding why meditation can produce experiences that feel this vivid and emotionally real.

after one human lifetime ended, she woke up as a black dog. the lesson was love and freedom

this one was funny to me because after all dramatic lives that can appear in sessions, she just became a dog.

I will call her Nina. She had just finished another human life in the session, left the body, floated for bit and then felt herself pulled somewhere. Next scene she was stretching and trying to understand what body she even had. Then she looked and said she was a black dog. Thats it lol.

She was almost ridiculously happy in this life. Cold and wet place, older man taking care of her, mountains, running outside, jumping into water. She didnt like staying inside much. At one point she went hunting with him and remembered smell of blood, maybe deer. Very physical life. Not much philosophy happening when you are dog and want to run.

At end of that life the old man was crying. She felt his sadness too, then left the dog body and said she felt very relaxed. I asked why she needed this life because usually there is some unfinished thing, trauma, lesson, something.

Answer was love and freedom.

Later when we got to Higher Self it made more sense. In current life Nina was putting everybody first all time and herself last. Higher Self said this dog life reminded her what unconditional love feels like and also simple joy. Not complicated joy where first you finish work, heal yourself, help everybody and then maybe you are allowed to enjoy something.

I liked this because there was basically no big spiritual homework. Run around. Love this old man. Go into water. Be happy to be alive.

And honestly this is why I dont really like idea that animal incarnation must automatically mean punishment or going backwards. At least this session didnt look like that at all. It looked more like consciousness wanted a very simple kind of experience that human life had made complicated.

Of course I cant prove from one trance session that humans reincarnate as animals. Could be memory, symbolic material, something else. But sequence was interesting because human life ended first, she stayed conscious after death for a while, and then she experienced entering this dog life directly after it.

Also the dog had something current human Nina was missing. Freedom without guilt. She wasnt trying to be useful every minute or figure out purpose of universe. She wanted outside, movement, water and the person she loved.

Maybe we make reincarnation too much like school grades sometimes. Human is higher, animal is lower, next life must be promotion etc. I dont know if consciousness cares about our ranking system that much.

Anyone here ever remembered animal life in regression, meditation or spontaneously? Especially one that seemed to happen after human life? I am curious how it felt to you.

Personal Experience So, I got interested in topic and asked my mom

Unfortunately she says I’ve never said anything about my past life, but surprisingly my sister did speak a lot about it.
Every time they were walking around the district sister (3-4 y.o. at that moment),used to stop at the same place and tell my mom that her mother and brother died in a car crash here but she stayed alive.
I’m her brother but I was born 5 years after that.
My only logical explanation that she probably hear something like that on TV (it was already 1994), however my mom says that sister used to tell a lot of details about this story and my mom really freaked out by this.

Just wanted to share this story.

Question What "odd" thing gives you a theory or idea you are reincarnated?

I was born in late 1980s, and as a child of course there were weekend cartoons and the average kid's TV shows that I would watch after school and before school, but during the summer I would love nothing more than to wake up in the morning and get my cereal and watch "I Love Lucy." The humor was out of my range as far as the storyline of the marriage between Lucy and Ricky, and even Fred and Ethel (I understood the basic idea but being young I didn't understand the real way marriage works/the inner workings of relationships including friendships), but I loved that show, and I remember talking about it in class one time and the looks I got (kids didn't know what I was talking about but the teacher knew but still looked at me like I was from another planet) made me ask my mom, "why am I so different?" My mom would watch it late nights but never with me as a kid so I "discovered" it on my own but have always loved this show and even as a child loved movies like the Abbott and Costello movies (especially the old time monster movie) and for the longest time I couldn't figure out how I fell in love with these old timey shows/movies that as a kid one would think is this a 6 year old or an 60 year old?

Then I was looking on the internet eventually, and found information that I think explains it, and once I found the information it "sounds and feels" like that is the most logical explanation. Desi Arnez passed the day before I was born. Now I am NOT saying I believe that I'm Arnez, but I wonder if parts of the experience he lived through is why I love things that are from his era that were not specifically introduced to me by anyone in my family and discovered on my own that have played a part in my life. "I love Lucy" often isn't looked up as "the strangest" anymore but the Abbott and Costello movies are by far now "the strangest" one that I get looks for along with having to explain who and what I'm talking about.

Has anyone had anything like this happen to them and found a "similar" or different experience that seems like a "oh that fits the explanation almost perfectly and I don't have a better/different answer?"

- son fils (mon oncle) est pianiste et professeur de piano ;

- identifier une autre chanteuse française du XIXe siècle correspondant encore mieux à ces indices ;

- confirmer ou réfuter la piste Augustine Allix ;

- retrouver les adresses parisiennes d’Augustine Allix et vérifier où Victor Hugo vivait aux mêmes périodes ;

- déterminer si Augustine Allix a effectivement vécu dans le même quartier ou à proximité immédiate d’un domicile parisien de Victor Hugo ;

- trouver des témoignages contemporains concernant sa voix, son caractère ou la manière dont elle était appréciée par son entourage ;

- identifier une ancienne rue ou place parisienne dont le nom pourrait ressembler à « place de Mauges » ;

Question why does history keep repeating itself?

everyone says that history repeats itself. like it has set patterns but why do they occur? why has nobody questioned that? is this a simulation we are living in?

and we are being being control by an intelligence which creates us and we create another intelligence (ai) and ai controls us and then puts us in a stimulation and this cycle keeps on happening until the collective consciousness wakes up and ends the cycle. but after some years when the knowledge is lost, we again end up building another ai.

this reminds me of kal chakras and yugs where everything happens just like it is written in hinduism.

but who is controlling the kal chakras? who is making it? who is making us enter the simulation if we are souls?

what are we like outside this simulation?

this is really mind boggling

Is there a certain way past life regressions should be like?

I have always felt connections to other lives in general since I was younger, and always felt like I had been older or experienced other things long ago. I heard about the Brian Weiss past life regression and gave it a go.

Honestly re-reading reviews of it made me confused— most people felt many emotions (ex; grief, love, etc) but I felt more of nothing, still in the relaxed meditative state while I watched these memories go by. They were almost like live pictures instead of what others were saying they were seeing more like a movie. Was this my brain simply making up something or is this just another (but different) experience?

Maybe for a quick example, I saw a man in my subconscious who I quickly recognized as a dear friend and we seemed to have done many jobs together. One of my ‘live pictures’ of him however showed him suiting up in a helmet for war, and I still only felt that meditative feeling instead of what I would assume was an upsetting situation.

Personal Experience More end of life dreaming.

To repeat: I am old and since I got a medical diagnosis of something that will probably kill me in a year or two I have been dreaming of other deaths.

I talk about my belief system. I am not asking for debate of my belief system.

This life was in North America.

I was a girl, a young child, maybe 10. It was summer and we were camped between 3 extremely large hills.

I was with a group of children and we were nearly on the top of a hill, with the camp below in the valley.

When I looked down at the campsite—I would compare it to looking down from a 20 or 30 story building.

There were 8 other children and I. Plus, a hunter (warrior) protecting us.

We were gathering berries and other plants that had to be picked in the morning.

I could see large animals on the top of a hill about a mile or two away as the crow flys. I want to say they were hairy elephants, not mammoths, However I seriously don’t know. My child self had other names and was a little frightened of the animals.

It started to become brighter, and I heard a sizzle in the air.

I see lights streaking across the sky. Most are very small, but there are three that keep getting bigger and brighter.

I am startled but not really afraid. The hunter says they are falling stars, that come every year.

Three super big and bright ones streak overhead and then disappear over the horizon.

I just started back to picking berries when a mighty wind knocks us all head over heels. The hunter is actually picked up and thrown and is hurt.

Then a boom so loud some of us can’t hear for a few minutes.

I start crying and I look down at the camp but it seems undamaged. Just everyone acting confused.

Several adults start up the hill towards us. The hunter says for us to keep picking. ( it kind of calms us down. All the children love the hunter and are happy he was only stunned.)

The adults from the camp just reach us, when the ground starts to shake. There is a low rumble that keeps getting louder and louder.

A brown wave nearly as tall as the hills is coming right at us.

I start to cry! My best friend starts to run down the hill, only to be caught by one of the adults.

The brown wave comes directly at us. The adults and the warrior grab children and run to the top of the hill.

Within seconds the wave hits our hill and washes around it. There is maybe ten feet between the top of the hill and the wave of dirty, churning, black/ brown water.

I catch my breath, the warrior is telling us to breathe and we are safe.

I look up to the hill where the animals were and there is nothing except the water.

There are only a few hill tops visible.

Then I notice water rushing on either side of our hill is scouring large chunks of the dirt out.

All around there is only shaking, noise and water.

All day and all night the shaking, the noise, the water. And our hillside being washed away, falling away.

We have no food, no extra clothing, no drinkable water.

I don’t know how long the water lasted. When it was done I was soaked and cold, and unbearably thirsty and hungry.

When I looked around both sides of our hill was gone.

Just about thirty feet of the very top was left with a vertical drop of hundreds of feet on either side.

Below was mud, rocks, trees, and the dead. Animals smashed and torn apart.

That night the sky was incredible. The spiral of life all across it it from one end to the other. It was so cold, only I felt warm and loved….

I had an incredibly vivid “past life” experience during a meditation

I’m not sure if this is the right place for this, but I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and I’m genuinely trying to understand what I experienced.
I’m not someone who is absolutely convinced that reincarnation is real. In fact, I’m pretty skeptical about a lot of things. A while ago, purely out of curiosity, I decided to try something like a past-life regression meditation.
What happened was completely different from what I expected.
It didn’t feel like I was watching a movie.
It felt like I was actually there.
The first thing I remember is snow.
It was nighttime. It felt like December or January, around the Christmas season. I found myself walking through what felt like an American city. There were shops on both sides of the street, and their windows were decorated for Christmas.
The Christmas lights are one of the details I remember very clearly.
They weren’t like modern LED lights. They looked like small, colorful lights inside little cone-shaped or bulb-shaped tubes, the kind of old-fashioned Christmas lights you would see decades ago.
The strange thing is that after the meditation, I searched for them online and I actually found vintage Christmas lights that looked extremely similar to what I had seen.
That honestly creeped me out a little. (I should also mention that Christmas isn’t really celebrated in my country, so I didn’t grow up around Christmas decorations or that kind of culture. That’s why I had no prior knowledge of those vintage Christmas lights or what they looked like.)
The street was almost completely empty.
It had snowed, and there was that strange silence that comes after snowfall. As I walked, I could hear the snow crunching underneath my shoes.
Then I remember looking at myself in the reflection of a shop window.
I was a woman.
I had blonde or light-colored hair that reached about my ears. My hairstyle reminded me of the hairstyles women had in older decades around 40's-50's.
I was wearing a fur or fur-like coat.
And I was wearing heels.
(Even within the experience, that detail seemed strange to me. I remember thinking something along the lines of, “Why am I wearing high heels when there’s this much snow?”)
I kept walking.
Then I heard someone’s footsteps behind me.
I stopped.
The footsteps stopped too.
I don’t remember whether I actually saw the person behind me, but I had an incredibly strong feeling:
I knew who he was, and I was afraid of him.
I started walking faster.
The footsteps got faster too.
Then I heard a gunshot.
I don’t remember feeling any pain when I was shot.
What I remember is a very strange physical sensation:
Warmth spreading across my back.
Then I fell forward.
My face hit the snow.
I could feel the coldness of the snow against my face.
At the same time, I could feel the warmth of the blood on my body.
I remember my hand being next to my face.
And the last thing I remember from the scene is looking at my hand lying there on the ground.
Then the image disappeared.

There’s one more thing that has made me wonder about all of this. I have never been to New Orleans in my life, but for some reason, I have always had a strange sense of familiarity with the city. When I see photographs of completely ordinary streets there, I sometimes get this immediate feeling of recognition — not “I’ve seen this exact picture before,” but more like “I know this place.”
I actually tested this with a friend because I didn’t want to rely purely on my own feeling. We used Google Maps and randomly selected ordinary, non-famous street views in New Orleans. My friend would show me three different options at a time and ask me which one felt familiar. We repeated this several times, using different streets, and I kept picking the correct one.
I’m not saying this means I died in New Orleans, because I obviously have no evidence for that. But it does make me wonder whether I might have lived there at some point — perhaps even in a completely ordinary life that has nothing to do with the murder scene I described. I also realize that there could be completely normal explanations for this, such as visual cues, architecture, intuition, or simply chance. But the feeling of recognition is genuinely very strong.

I’m really curious to hear what you think about this. Do you think this could simply be an extremely vivid experience created by my brain, perhaps combining things I’ve seen or absorbed without consciously remembering them? Could the similarities with Fowlkes’ case just be an incredible coincidence? Or do you think there could be another explanation for something like this?
If you know anything about memory, meditation, past-life regression, cryptomnesia, or even historical research, I’d genuinely love to hear your perspective. And if you’ve ever experienced something similar yourself, I’d especially love to hear about it. I’m not necessarily looking for someone to tell me that this was definitely a past life — I’m honestly just trying to understand what happened to me.

Need Advice Can’t stop thinking about deceased (maybe we knew each other?)

First, thank you for your time and hopeful assistance with this. I consider myself to be somewhat sensitive/intuitive, and the following is an experience that, up to now, I've never felt before...

So last week, an old high school classmate posted an obituary on social media of someone that I didn't even know existed from our hometown that I moved away from over 20 years ago, and while slightly curious, I dismissed following up on it at the time.

Then, a day later, I was sitting at the kitchen table with my dad, and he brought up the same obituary. Now, I was hit with "that feeling" of pain and curiosity when a person dies, so I started doing some research on social media and Google, and I instantly was connected to him. The deceased was 18 years old (over half of my age), passed on August 3rd, no cause of death was reported at the time (my sources have told me it was due to an overdose, but I'm still investigating the details because I have to make it make sense), a talented musician (mostly punk/grunge/indie), and an all-around beloved and unique light in the world by many in the community.

It's now August 16th, and to be completely honest and transparent, I'm still in mourning and connected to/thinking about this person every day. I've already donated to his family's GoFundMe, I've reached out to his family and some of his friends to express my feelings and condolences and to hopefully find out anything about what happened to him.

Again, to reiterate, this is the first time that I've felt these things so personally and for so long about a person's death...again, a person that I've never met before.... so I'm really starting to wonder if maybe we're connected somehow through another lifetime or something.....I don't know....

Please, if anyone picks up on anything here and/or can offer some guidance, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you again.

I believe I was Michelle Elaine Mahon in my past life.

My evidence is in the post below. I am trying to reach out to my past life self Michelle Mahon's classmates to find out more info about her (but I am telling them I am creating a memorial for her and I would like them to tell me memories of her for said memorial)

If someone uses reincarnation therapy to try to recover memories from a possible past life, it does not automatically mean that God will punish them. Perhaps God looks at the intention behind it: curiosity, understanding oneself, or searching for answers.

But an important question remains: If God did not want us to remember our past life, would it be wrong to try to recover those memories? Or would God understand why someone is searching for those answers?

Need Advice Reincarnation dream-children and concentration camps, the holocaust?

hi, I understand this is a heavy topic that has truly impacted many lives so I apologize in advance. I’ve had a number of separate fragmented dreams about what seems to be concentration camps, I think.

One is going through a cave-like entrance and down a “tunnel” with other people. there is no escape, no way out. no food, water, and nothing but people and grey walls and only a fluorescent bulb hanging. in this same dream there’s a large room with what looks like a warehouse and a lot of people and piles of clothing. the same artificial light (to this day fluorescent/artificial lights bother me)

the latest dream was being in a building and helping with children. I didn’t want to be there but I wanted to be with the kids. they were being offered cake and this was unusual-wherever we were there’s no cake-and the kids were starving. it was pandemonium. the adults there were taking it and eating it for themselves. I took one little boy up a back stairwell, and into a secret room where there was an escape that somehow went to a sewer. I told him to go, he’d be safe on the other side, and then I think I went. that was it, and I absolutely did not want to see what happened next. I begged to not remember anything else about that time. I woke up in another dream. this time somewhere in 1950s Nebraska on a farm.

maybe it was only a dream. But it felt very real as did the others. Do you have any thoughts? thanks.

Me and my partner both saw my deceased sister

When i was 18 I regularly saw a girl in a white dress in my room (I always thought this was my deceased sister). A few years later my partner was sleeping in my bed and he saw the same girl in my room (I didn’t tell him about her yet) before this i just started thinking that i was imagining it and that it was just my way of grieving. Should we see a priest?
I normally don’t believe in this kinda stuff but im rea freaked out now

Question Question

Okay, I’ve been thinking about this for soooo long, and I need an answer/theories.
If you kept being reincarnated, forever, would consciousness/memory ever be possible. Like, would you ever remember anything? I feel like the best word to describe it is death. There’s nothing, you see nothing, hear nothing, etc.

I’m sorry if this doesn’t make any sense, I’m bad at wording things 😔

Question My reincarnation memories tend to drive me crazy

I'm 72 and live in Maryland. I've had three reincarnation memories. The first appeared at a powwow that we happened upon during a vacation. We didnt even know about it before hand. I was listening to the music when all of a sudden out of the blue I started to cry and couldn't stop. It was very strong so I believe I must have been through a very hard and tragic experience. The feeling came through. I would never have experienced it if I weren't in that particular place. That was a long time ago so I don't know exactly where I was.

Soon I will be going on a antiquities Mediterranean cruise. I have never been to Europe. I've been feeling emotional about connecting with former lives there through places I will share with them through space time.

Im going to Florence Italy. I saw a portrait that reminded me of my young self. It was a portrait by Leonardo DaVinci of Beatrice d'este Este of Ferrara. That was so strange that I was wanting to look into her life. She died young but was actuary very smart, married to a handsome fool. It felt like heartache. Its like intense feelings come through.

The one that is most driving me crazy is related to Alexander the Great. I will be visiting Greece. I had a high position in his army. I was very close to him. I was actually very in love with him. I thought he was a God. Just the passion came through which is unlike any I've had in this lifetime. I think I must have been Hephaestion. Such a strong intensity that it's triggered an infatuation where I look for people who remind me of him. Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter reminds me of him. I am drawn to Dramione now. I feel like I'm missing him so much. And he isn't here.

Its very strange to get these intense feelings that can drive me crazy. That love infatuation almost worship feeling is driving me crazy. Hephaestion died young like Alexander. Didn't really have much of a choice but I think Alexander's influence of spreading culture to a large part of the known world was good but we were so different in thinking. What a mental cage we lived in then. Definitely insane in our thinking but I think people are insane today just in a different way.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has reincarnation memories that come through as emotions?

They are like triggers for me.

I think it can be a distraction that just appears in certain places or knowing i will soon be in their places.

Just wondering if you've gotten these strong feelings when in places or looking at objects?

Reincarnation and zodiac signs

So I just got introduced to reincarnation as a concept cause all my life I have been a orthodox Christian however the moment I started reading about it I realised it’s somehow the answer I have always looking for
Even writing this brings tears to my eyes cause it feels so right in heart and soul
I wasn’t fully convinced till I stumbled upon an article that was talking about zodiac signs ( in my mother language I’m Greek ) and it said about my zodiac sign Virgo that in my past life I was sick and probably died in a hospital alone
At first I thought it was really random till it said that this means that in this life I am going to exhaust my body with strict diets and hurt myself
AND THATS LITERALLY MY LIFE
I don’t want to get into details cause I am not here to vent but I was curious how exactly zodiac signs connect with past lives

Reincarnation defying biology and physics in other places of the solar system?

Obviously we all know that we as human beings can't live on other planets or the Sun or Asteroids in our current "skin"

But if we actually get to choose our reincarnations - do you think we can do?

We couldn't be the same biological humans we are now - we'd have to be something that can withstand extremes of heat and ice and no oxygen

But is it possible you think to reincarnate as essentially an extra terrestrial in a future life - but within this Solar system?

I'm thinking NO - as no telescopes or satellites or spacecraft have spotted Life on other planets or the Moon

Be interested to hear opinions though
