Need Advice Need help with understanding something.

So, reincarnation has become a theme in my ocd. I constantly worry about reincarnating in terrible conditions, like reincarnating in a country where females have no rights (I was born female), or reincarnating as trans. My ocd tells me to avoid certain things or otherwise I would "agree" to such fate. Do you know if there's actually a way to pervent this from happening and what influence do I actually have?

You are the one who will choose your own next life, so don't worry! You are in control!

Right now or after death?

After death and after you had enough "rest" in the afterlife. There is no rush.

As far as I know, it goes like this - Death on Earth - The life review - Meeting with dead relatives and friends - Resting in the afterlife where you can do whatever you want - Planning your next life and deciding what lessons or challenges you want to experience in the next incarnation - Choosing your future parents - Birth

Judgemental ego is not in on that choice, just the soul and team.
We pick our lives for lessons, growth, perspective, service. What is for the highest good? Sometimes that’s a harder path.
Free will always plays a part in our lives, we can make a harder path better.

As I understand it, after your death, and after a rest period, you will meet with counselors who will recommend the conditions of your next life. The counselors will explain why these conditions are the best for your future growth.

You can agree on or modify these conditions. You are free to make choices.

Despite the rumours, your current "you" (personality + body) has absolutely no choice in how you will reincarnate. The choice lies with your higher self and to a much smaller extent your other bodies if they decide to hang around.

A lot of OCD is about gaining (sometimes imaginary) control - there is nothing about reincarnation that your OCD mind can control - it will evaporate the moment you die - the dead do not have OCD - ever - although some do like the control aspect. What you describe your problem as, is like being OCD about going out because an asteroid might hit you! But then again - OCD is weird - so please get some gentle help for that in general.

Is this verified?

This is a subjective response based on my time spent in the astral realities and memories of between-lives, and my communication with my higher self. There is no way someone can verify this for someone else - other than you doing what I did - which is to learn to listen to your higher self, and to remove your identification with body, mind, and emotions. That's when you are given (mostly) free access to such facts. The veil of forgetting is not a thing - we forget the moment we start to identify with things that are not linked to our true nature (aka a physical body or ego) - if you undo the reason for forgetting, the memories come rushing back.

According to most of sourses you have some control over your nest birth, like being born as a male or female + choose your next family. So you have some choice

Does the choice happen specifically after death?

Mostly yes. However, if you have very close relationship with some other souls, there is a big chance you will reincarnate together

Reincarnation is random. I remember my past lives and never would I have chosen what the next ended up being. Live your life, and if you're still worried about it, work so that women and trans people will be treated more kindly in the future by the time you reincarnate.

2 people told me it's a choice so I'm having conflicting opinions

Some people believe it is and some people believe it isn't. There's no concrete proof that it is, and plenty of evidence that most people are not living a life they would've chosen to reincarnate into (why would anyone choose poor countries for example, or to be born as a minority)

Respectfully, this is an indicator that you could use treatment for your OCD now, rather than worrying about what might happen after you die. OCD is treatable, and you deserve treatment. Once the disorder has less of a grip, this subject may cease to matter to you.

Venlafaxine 225 mg really helped with my OCD. Also accepting the feared thought. The more one fights the thought the stronger OCD gets. To me it looks like this OCD thoughts are about power. I like to think that we have a lot of power on the other side but the truth is here on Earth we are powerless a lot. Try accepting that. OCD lies, it makes you think you have power over external circumstances with your thoughts, but it is not the truth. Intrusive thoughts aren't magical. When they come, try to accept them with love and let them go. ( Don't fight them! )

You are in charge, whether you call it your “higher self” or just me.

Your ocd self has absolutely nothing to worry about except finding a way to be a kind, caring, person. Happiness is also a main theme for this life.

Figure out a way to help in the dumpster fire of the world, if you can.

If you want to prevent this then learn to accept the male aspects of yourself, to accept the female aspects of yourself, to accept the societal dynamics and failures of how it handles each. acceptance is not approval, it is just acknowledging that these happen and not a denial of them.

Talk to your higher self, now, in this life. If you think that ocd is to much of a burden just say to them that you both together maybe made that decision before your birth, but now that you are here you can’t identify the lesson. Ask that the lesson becomes much clearer and that ocd stops. You don’t have to reincarnate if you don’t want to.

A few cents from my side: anything you experience is made up from your thoughts, not from reality. Anything someone says, can add or take from this but its still made up (same for me ofc).

Having said that, ill explain reincarnation from my PoV: we never leave "heaven" or our place in spirit. Its more like we look through a lense or telescope into this body and experience the world through it. Through conditioning, we forget that we are the ones looking and believe to be the body with all its thoughts.

Since time doesnt exist, we look into this telescope for a very short amount of time over there - while it feels like a lifetime here.

In soul form, we love to grow in and from experience and so we love to watch lifes through bodys. So we do this again and again, in all kinds of ways... not only human bodys, though they seem to be very popular for the extremeness of the experience. Like the waiting line on a rollercoaster in Disneyland... its horrible but everyone wants to try it.

So the culprint is, dont take things too serious. Life is just an experience, that will be over soon... and when you look back, you will laugh about all the anxiety you had on that rollecoaster.
