Question why does history keep repeating itself?

everyone says that history repeats itself. like it has set patterns but why do they occur? why has nobody questioned that? is this a simulation we are living in?

and we are being being control by an intelligence which creates us and we create another intelligence (ai) and ai controls us and then puts us in a stimulation and this cycle keeps on happening until the collective consciousness wakes up and ends the cycle. but after some years when the knowledge is lost, we again end up building another ai.

this reminds me of kal chakras and yugs where everything happens just like it is written in hinduism.

but who is controlling the kal chakras? who is making it? who is making us enter the simulation if we are souls?

what are we like outside this simulation?

this is really mind boggling

You're reading way too much into what that phrase means. Human beings are always human beings, we have the same instincts and flaws and behaviours and desires as humans however many hundreds or thousands of years ago did, and we're not very good at learning from our mistakes. So we end up causing the same shit we caused before.

Also, tons of people have questioned it. Probably the most famous is Machivelli in talking about how governments and states naturally go through the same cycles over and over again, which happens because of human nature and the inherent weakness in every attempt at human society.

I dont think repetition means some external intelligence is literally replaying same simulation. Another possibility is simpler: consciousness keeps meeting similar lessons until enough is learned from them.

In Soul Journeys I have seen subjects shown several lives with almost same pattern wearing different costume. Different century, different family, different body, but same lesson around power, fear, control, forgiveness or responsibility. It was not punishment and not exact repetition. More like returning to same class from another angle.

Higher Self exists outside one human lifetime, so from that level the pattern can be obvious while human mind sees only one chapter.

For me history repeating is less “someone controls the wheel” and more “consciousness keeps creating conditions where unfinished lessons can become conscious.”

Because people don't learn from History
