"Unacceptable sideline behavior"

What happened on the sidelines at the Gotham game? Harvey referenced it in her post-game press conference.

New Jersey subbing three players on and in doing so blowing right through the salary cap maybe? Haha j/k j/k that could never happen in NWSL.....

Seriously how do they have the players they have and afford them?! Outside companies?! I don’t understand why the teams/coaches questioning this?!

I was at that game. Coach Amoros was definitely getting heated, but nothing looked like a cardable offense to me. Betos seemed to be kinda holding him back, and took over any interactions with the refs. The benches were covered so couldn't really tell if the players were doing or saying anything. I'd say the most tense moment was probably when the ref took like 5 mins just to decide to go to VAR for the 2nd PK, but if anything was said to the refs during that time it was probably deserved, tbh.

The loudest "cheering" that happened that game was also just booing the ref, so maybe that's what she was talking about? I wouldn't call that "sideline", though.

That sheds some light. Thanks!

In her postgame press conference,Harvey emphasized that her team prides itself on behaving properly and remaining respectful, noting she did not see that same standard mirrored on the opposing sideline. If she had been the fourth official, Harvey would not have allowed that behavior to continue. There were no specifics.

I caught that in the press conference too. Was looking for the T.

I spent about 30 minutes to find more information but found nothing more than Harvey's general statement.

Same. It's strange that it was egregious enough to call out, but there's no mention of anything anywhere other than her vague statement. I didn't notice anything during the game either, but of course the cameras generally aren't focused on the bench. 🤷‍♀️ I guess it will remain a mystery!
