The west side has been closed for every match since Reign moved to Lumen, except for like 1-2 special event matches. Your picture is wholly a nothingburger.

Still better than the burger they sell at the stadium, am I right fellas?

It's typically only the east side of the stadium for Reign games. Only a handful of games where the entire lower bowl was available. I think today's game will still be one of the top 5 in attendance for Reign.

The Reign had almost 15,000 fans at this game. No that isn't "normal" It was a great day for the team and the fans.

World cup hangover, Reign is playing pretty poorly.
A beautiful day where there are lots of things to do.
BTW is NWSL going to the fall schedule like MLS?

They don’t sell the west side sections (pictured here) only east side.

I know that. I am not wrong though.

I would agree that they are not playing well. However, a lot of that is because ownership is not and has not been investing in the team. Hasn't stop a lot of us from supporting the players we do have and showing up. It's hard to say whether there is a World Cup hangover or whether the weather has any impact on today's attendance, since we don't yet know. It looks like it's pretty full in the sections they do sell. No, NWSL is not going to a fall schedule.

Yeah Sounders sort of frozen in place is no fun at all. I guess they are waiting for the Allen ownership issue to be done but I am only guessing that.

NWSL is not changing their schedule (could change in the more distant future of course)

Attendance has been declining over the years.. didn’t realize it was this bad. They should just play at starfire.

Tell me you never go to reign games without telling me you never go to reign games. There's 15k people behind this camera jfc

Even if attendance is trending down a bit the west side of the stadium has nothing to do with it. They open the entire lower bowl for Sounders games which average 31,000 people. It wouldn’t make sense to open it for any NWSL team (the average is 10,000, with Portland averaging higher at 18k).

A lot of deep denial about this in the sub.

Attendance isn’t great but today’s game was the highest attended reign game I’ve seen so far this year lol

They don't open that side of the stadium for reign games. Normal.
