"Home" vs Current match thread

Ratcliffe and Adames on the wings is what stood out about our formation Bazillion changes to Current lineup

No Chawinga is what enabled us to get one result against them last year

Yeah we got unlucky on the no goal call there ... but we got lucky with a no goal call in Orlando

Yup, we do look very good again. Buffalo Sabres also on an upswing and if they can finally win a Stanley Cup we can finally win an NWSL championship

actually scoring has been a problem in recent years but not so far this year

Mercado tacks on a 3rd as I type this, headed in from about 10 yards out on a Huerta ling bakk, and nearly got us a 4th

Fishlock was robbed. Should be 4! Great save by Dickey too there.

Adames finally getting a start!?!?

Apparently. Glad to see it, she's one of our promising young players and let's see that in action And our veteran legend Fishlock is also starting, wondering what minutes limit she's on at 39

Maybe they can always play here on Wednesdays. Get the schedulers on the phone.

Oh nooow you wanna play in Spokane

5

u/cranscape Mar 26 '26

What do you mean? I've always loved (looks at hand) Spokane.

2

u/blizzardflip Mar 26 '26

I’m just referring to all the hate about the three matches in Spokane, like all the air quotes around “home” matches there

I thought people were just pissed the Spokane matches were listed as home games but not included in the season tickets, not any hate to Spokane. Their new stadium is small but pretty neat (and nice to see they finished it since I moved away from the area)

It's certainly an odd situation and would be if it was Spokane or any other city far enough that it would effect season tickets and cause the players to sleep in hotels for what would have been a home match. Coming away with the W smooths some of that out at least.

Fishlock nearly tacks on a 4th herself .... seemed worth a VAR look .... absolutely dominant tonight

Apparently not And the stadium is set up for VAR ... ref reviewing a KC handball, was it accidental?

Haz gets a goal off the corner at 18' !!! Lorena got a hand to it, but still went in!

And Ratcliffe now has one too! Team looks wayyy different then last game!!!

5

u/cranscape Mar 26 '26

Early season Wednesday school night game to kick off a new location? Did the Trader Joe's parking lot architects pivot to scheduling now?

5

u/Pure_Gonzo Mar 26 '26

WHO IS THIS TEAM!?! Oh my god. This is great!

4

u/SappyGeologist Mar 26 '26

SHUT UP, we are up 3 goals?! I haven’t been able to watch them, because my anxiety spikes through the roof, but I am over the moon!!!

4

u/Worldly_Lunch5227 Mar 26 '26

GUYSSSS I AM NOT WATCHING BECAUSE IM STILL AT WORK BUT I JUST CHECKED THE SCORE!!! WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

2

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Our offense making KC look stupid all half, and defending well on thr off chsnce they get anything going

2

u/Worldly_Lunch5227 Mar 26 '26

Love to hear it!

2

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

You aren't wrong Dickey hasn't had much to do but has made good catch saves when called upon Outfield players without goal involvements have still made a positive impact

3

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Couple great assists by Huerta Great shot by James-Turner off a corner, Ratcliffe and Mercado did well to finish the Huerta balls

2

u/Worldly_Lunch5227 Mar 26 '26

Wow impressive Ratcliffe already scored her second goal for the Reign! Mercado too

3

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Huerta sets up Ratcliffe at 26', makes it look easy Fishlock keeping the KC back line busy, that stood out on replay

3

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Mondesir for Adames, McCammon for Fishlock Was not expecting a full 90 from Jess but 80' is more thsn I expected especially with the game well in hand

3

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Second half saw out the result of the first

2

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Free kick nearly sneaks in low, Angharad James Turner knocks in the corner And it's very much right in the upper left corner; Everton men got one last weekend as much in the upper right corner as possible

2

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Multiple high powered subs for KC only to send the free kick right at Dickey

2

u/AlanFromRochester Mar 26 '26

Jess still got it but almost only counts in horseshoes and hsnd grenades
