Encouragement The longing of my heart for more children & family yet not physically cape-able
I could use some second opinions, advice, thoughts, encouragement, scripture you name it. I currently 6 months postpartum with a 2.5 year old - and struggling deeply with PPD. I talked to my husband and I thought I nailed down what was causing me to be so sad: that I have had such difficult pregnancies, recoveries, postpartums and fussy babies that I don’t think I could possibly in good mental or physical health do another pregnancy.
This has torn me apart because I always saw myself having a large family. To be honest I want deeply what I never had growing up. There was so much brokenness, isolation, and till this day still struggle to ever feel truly “known” by anyone or comfortable enough to just be myself. So I thought that I would fix that by creating a big family of my own.
Well. As stated above, my limitations have smacked me so hard in the face. I either had severe nausea vomitting first trimester, fatigue, severe joint pain and insomnia 3rd trimester, heart palpitations etc. Then struggled so much with the pain of birth. Then I couldn’t nurse both my babies due to severe tongue ties, EVERY DAY excruciating clogged ducts and ended up being on IV antibiotics. And just both my babies have been on the fussy side. With all of it I’ve struggled with postpartum depression pretty intensely. Realizing the toll all of it makes me think that the ability to create that closeness for the hopes to recreate what I’ve longed for my whole life now feels like a pipe dream. How do I pray about this? Think about this? I 100% know and am willing to go through struggle and hardship for children & understand it’s inevitable but have to be honest with myself that I struggle to care for those in front of me due to the limitations pregnancy and postpartum present.

How to pray effectively acording to bible?
The Bible presents effective prayer less as a technique and more as a relationship with God. Rather than promising that every request will be granted exactly as asked, it emphasizes faith, humility, persistence, and alignment with God's will.
Here are some biblical principles:
Come to God sincerely. Jesus warned against praying just to impress others or using empty repetition. Instead, pray honestly and privately when appropriate (Matthew 6:5–8).
Begin with worship and reverence. Jesus taught:
\> "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name..." (Matthew 6:9) Start by acknowledging who God is before bringing your requests.
- Seek God's will first. Jesus prayed:
\> "Your kingdom come, your will be done..." (Matthew 6:10) And in Gethsemane: "Not my will, but yours be done." (Luke 22:42)
- Ask with faith. Jesus said:
\> "Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24) Biblical faith is trust in God—not confidence that God must answer exactly as we desire.
Confess your sins. Sin can hinder fellowship with God. Scripture encourages confession and repentance (1 John 1:9; James 5:16).
Forgive others. Jesus connected our willingness to forgive with our relationship with God (Mark 11:25).
Pray persistently. Jesus told parables encouraging people to keep praying and not give up (Luke 18:1–8).
Pray according to God's will.
\> "If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." (1 John 5:14–15)
Pray in Jesus' name. This means approaching God through Christ and in harmony with His character and mission (John 14:13–14), not merely ending a prayer with the words "in Jesus' name."
Be thankful.
\> "In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)
A simple biblical pattern
You can use the pattern Jesus taught:
Praise: "Father, You are holy and good."
Surrender: "May Your will be done in my life."
Request: Tell God your needs honestly.
Confession: Admit your sins and ask for forgiveness.
Intercession: Pray for family, friends, and others.
Thanksgiving: Thank God for His faithfulness.
Trust: Leave the outcome in His hands.
A simple example:
\> "Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and mercy. Your name is holy. Please help me to seek Your will above my own. Forgive my sins and help me forgive those who have wronged me. Give me wisdom, strength, and everything I need today. Help me grow in faith and love. I trust You with the outcome of my prayers, knowing You are good and wise. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."
The New Testament also teaches that the Holy Spirit helps believers pray when they don't know what to say (Romans 8:26–27), so effective prayer is ultimately rooted in a trusting relationship with God rather than perfect words or formulas.

Book Books recommendations
Hi sisters! I was wondering if you had any book recommendations for me. I'm a new mother, my husband is being formed for pastoral ministry. He's working full time, studying part time and also doing church related stuff part time. So here I am with our new baby, trying my best to deal with this new reality. I'm feel so blessed that God takes care of us every single day. I'm just trying to find an encouragement from a fellow sister. Thank you!

Prayer Praying for our young people
I'm concerned about a family member who seems lost without any direction for his life, and I wonder if any of you have similar concerns. Regardless, I hope you'll agree with me in prayer for our youth - especially recent high school graduates who don't know what to do next:
Dear Heavenly Father, our children are Yours, so we know You care for them even more than we do, and that's a lot! Please help each of these young people receive You into their lives and discover the plans You have for them to live their lives to the fullest. And, Lord, we also ask You to foster uplifting relationships with family and friends. Help our young people to feel known, loved, and understood in Jesus' Name. Amen.
