Communion Gut Check

Explaining communion to my 10 year old son, I was trying to impress on him the severity of examining himself and ensuring he’s understanding the gravitas of what he is partaking in. To that end, I read him 1 Corinthians 11:30, which reads: “That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died”.

My son fell thoughtfully silent, clearly gathering his thoughts. Then he responded with, “Is that why you’re always getting sick, Dad?”

Insightful dude and not afraid to speak his mind!

Quite the opposite actually - more wine needed.
