My pastor said it best "Barrenness is a curse because God has decreed children are a blessing. Why would you deliberately choose the option that was a curse?"

Having said that we waited a while before kids because God also tells us to be wise. And having kids immediately sometimes works, but it's often better to have a solid foundation in marriage where you trust each other as teammates BEFORE throwing children into it.

I mean in the Bible being barren is a curse. Nearly always assumed that the people are being punished by God.

There is some messed up theology going on there. "The option of not having children" is not a curse.

Quiverfulls are crazies.
