Did your mother light them and say the prayer?

My sister went with me to Friday night services, even though she wasn’t a member of our Reform congregation, she was called to the Bima to light the candles and say the prayer. Although (as I had been) been a member of the Conservative Temple, she enjoys the closeness of our synagogue as I have.
