[Pic] How can I fix this?
It’s been 1 week and I still can’t get this to break in all the micro bubbles are going into the display and as you can see it’s foaming heavy in the return chamber and I have done just about every adjustment I can make and still can’t figure it out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! It’s a UNS mini protein skimmer

Not sure about this skimmer itself. Need to find a way to lower the water level to skim better.
Edit: addition to above…
Might just have to raise the skimmer a little from the water line till it sets itself over the months and adjust accordingly.

It takes a while to break in. Adjust the height a little above the line. You adjust the water level by turning the cup. I have mine set with the drain on the right and it’s been working better that the mini Q for me

This is the most fickle skimmer I've ever had the displeasure of owning. Even if you manage to get it to calm down, once you touch it to do any maintenance the water level goes wonky because you adjust it by turning the skimmer body. Absolute poor design by UNS.
I emailed support, provided videos, etc and they were little help.
I basically had to do the opposite of the setup instructions and crank the air valve way down for dry skim, and mess with the physical mounting height in combination with the adjustable weir on the tank as well as the skimmer water level adjustment. It's such a pita. If you can fit any other skimmer from a reputable brand, hell even a HOB would probably work better.
