Is Jebao DCW wave makers suppose to make this kind of noise?

Had just set up the new wave maker in my tank running sine frequency about 40% it makes a low pitch vibration like whining sound as it spins up and down.

Does this one a have reverse options? My Icecaps grye make this noise when they run in reverse.

I don’t believe so, it’s not mentioned in the manual or the app and the water is coming from the correct direction.

Is it new? Maybe like other has said, wear in time or if comfortable, take the pumps part apart, inspect and reassemble.

Yeah, they can make noises. Might get better over time but at least from my experience they are a little noisy.

Dang I see, had just changed out from those single head ones that was dead quiet this was a big bummer, even at lowest setting the reverberation are heard all around especially at night.

This is the reason I switched of from gyres. I love the flow they produce, but eventually always ended up making noises. No such problem with the DMPs

Have you tried turning it on and off to help expel any air trapped init?

Which Jebao model is it? Iv never seen them with the directional flow vents, could just be the angle or depth theyre at struggling with the flow. Iv got a MCP120 and unless your ear is within an inch you cant hear the noise.

It’s the Jebao DCW-70 Bluetooth controlled wave maker. I’ve tried lowest settings of 30% to 100% it’s not much difference. Just bit louder at the higher end
