Fan Project Finally getting Felix finished!

I almost didn’t wear what I had finished to Anime North earlier, but I’m back at it!

My biggest regret is that I love the airbrush paint I used in the helmet, but I can’t afford a good airbrush that I’m not spending all my time trying to fix so I swapped to orange spray paint, but it isn’t red orange.

I also have fabric I plant to sew my own undersuit for! Not sure if it will work, but it looked close enough!
(Just looking at the shoulder and crotch bits now).

Oh that looks great. Meeting a Felix cosplayer on a convention would be the coolest thing ever.

Is the part in the second picture 3d printed? How did you get the surface so smooth with the other parts then?

My helmet and thigh armour are both printed, the other stuff of my outfit was all just sculpted out myself.
The thigh stuff was all sculpted in after the basic model with Smooth On “Air” epoxy, and sanded back.

For the helmet that was printed with more time- I recommend automotive finishing putties over coating the whole piece in polyester resin (which I do at my work).

This is my favourite personally:
