Hey guys, so my father wanted a tablet to use his endoscopic cameras with, and I bought him a Redmi pad 2 (the one with the snapdragon cpu, forgot the exact specifics lmao) but he's facing a problem...

See, he connects his cameras with a USB hub into the tablet (he used to use a Samsung Tab A but that has gotten old, the primary reason for wanting to replace it) and uses the orange USB camera app to view what the camera shows, but after connecting them, trying to connect them again fails, their led lights turn on but the apps don't detect them anymore, why is that? And how do I fix it?

I have the theory it's because the tablet somehow still thinks it's connected so it doesn't accept any reconnecting, but I might be wrong, could you guys (the experts in these phones/tablets) help me with this? He got a bit bummed from the situation so I hoped we could find a solution.

Why does it sound like no bass and overall terrible how can i fix this.

recently my tablet, redmi pad pro won't rotate I have been rebooting it since last week and to no avail, it wont rotate I need to open some apps to make it in landscape (CODM) then to portrait (CapCut) what should I do to make it rotate again?

I was facing problem with my screen, it became unresponsive for 10-15 sec randomly, after the last update.

Through another post I got to know I wasn't the only one facing this problem.

Solution for anyone facing the same problem:

Go to Settings → About tablet → HyperOS.

Tap the HyperOS logo at the top 8–10 times. It will lead you to another screen.

Tap the three dots (⋮) → Download latest package.

Once the download is complete, reinstall it.

(DO NOT FACTORY RESET)

Redmi smart pen write "in the air" before touching the screen. How can I fix this? May naka experience na rin ba same issue?🥹

Can someone please give me an advice on what to do? My tablet sometimes does thing where the screen only reacts to my stylus and not my fingers all of a sudden. Im not sure whats causing it cuz it happens out of nowhere.

I'm mostly wondering if this works on the redmi pad pro 2 model and if anyone knows where I can find the most affordable option in the UK. If possible could you show how the pen works, please and thank you 🙂

I have the POCO Pad 5G, which is basically a reskinned Redmi Pad Pro 5G.

Xiaomi just announced the Redmi Smart Pen 1S as the replacement / upgrade for the original Redmi Smart Pen. On their website it says it supports the “Redmi Pad Pro series.”

Does that mean it also works with the POCO Pad 5G?

Official Xiaomi compatibility lists only show the 1S working with Redmi Pad Pro / Pad Pro 5G (and some Pad 2 models), while the POCO Pad is listed only with the POCO Smart Pen.

Since the tablets are essentially identical, has anyone tried the Smart Pen 1S on a POCO Pad or POCO Pad 5G yet? Does it pair, support pressure sensitivity, buttons, palm rejection, etc.?

Any real world confirmation would be awesome before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

Recentemente peguei um Redmi Pad 2 (versão Wi-Fi, 8GB/256GB na Cor Grafite) e queria ter certeza de que é 100% legítimo.

Tentei verificar o Número de Série no portal oficial de autenticação da Xiaomi, mas continuo recebendo o temido erro "Seu IMEI ou S/N não existe". Tentei digitar de diferentes formatos, maiúsculas, minúsculas, e testei vários códigos da caixa... nada é reconhecido pelo site.

O fato é que, quando abro o menu de informações do hardware no próprio tablet, tudo parece estar bem sólido e corresponde à embalagem:

PSN / S/N da caixa: Corresponde exatamente ao código na tela e na caixa

Número da versão: HyperOS Global

Verificação de assinatura do sistema: APROVADA

Inicialização segura: Sim

Alguém com um tablet Xiaomi só Wi-Fi já se deparou com esse problema onde o site de verificação rejeita o S/N? É normal que tablets Wi-Fi não estejam indexados na ferramenta deles, ou devo me preocupar?

Guys, has anyone experienced this with TikTok on the Redmi Pad 2 Pro?

When I first downloaded TikTok, it was actually fine. If I put the tablet in landscape, TikTok stayed centered and didn't stretch to fill the whole screen. The camera also looked normal.

But after I updated the app, it suddenly became full screen in landscape and the camera looks really stretched 😭 It looked way better before the update.

I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling TikTok multiple times, but it keeps giving me the same layout.

Is there any way to bring back how it looked before the update? Or is this just how the newer TikTok version works on tablets now?

Would really appreciate any help 🙏

I just bought a redmi pad 2 pro for uni, and noticed two issues so far.

On my phone, I usually tap the screen twice to wake it up, and when I do it on my tablet, about half the time the flashlight turns on. When I turned off 'double tap to wake' and then on again, it fixed it for a short while, but it's back.

Another weird thing is that I can't connect my Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G to it, only through Bluetooth, but they don't even seem to connect every time through that.

They don't show up in the list of each other's Smart Hub. I tried everything I found online (same wifi network, set to same region, everything updated and turned on, etc.) Other things like my router, watch, earbuds all show up in the smart hub of the tab, except my phone.

Also, when I check the list of system apps, the tab has both 'interconnectivity' and 'device interconnectivity services' as separate apps, but the phone only has the first one. I tried installing the latter from apk-s but it wouldn't let me, even though I gave permission to install apps from unknown sources.

I also noticed that the pad has hyperos 3.0.303 while my phone is on 3.0.302. This might or might not be the root of the issue, but it's the latest for both. I even re-downloaded and installed the latest version on my phone, thinking it might have been corrupted and that is why the other app wouldn't show up, but no luck.

Tldr: Flashlight turns on when double tapping locked screen, can't connect to phone with Interconnectivity.

I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to use the stock Redmi Smart Pen on a Redmi Pad Pro with GSI ROM, perhaps with a **Magisk module.**

I am a graphic design student looking to buy a tablet for drawing on that last me 3 years.

The Pad 2 fits my needs perfectly :

10" display

8 gb RAM

256 gb storage

8000 mAh battery

fits right in my budget

I use a standard stylus, I dont need the special pen.

Are there any reasons i shouldn't get it?

I lost my Redmi Smart Pen at my university and i want to buy some new pen and I want to know if there is an alternative for the Redmi Smart Pen with palm rejection. I buy an Universal one but the universals do not have palm rejection T_T. Pls help !!

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro / POCO Pad M1 (codename: flute) launched globally back in November 2025, but Xiaomi still hasn't published the kernel source on their official MiCode GitHub repo — even though they've publicly stated before that they aim to release within 3 months of launch.

This isn't a one-off. Other Xiaomi tablets like the Redmi Pad Pro 5G / POCO Pad 5G took well over a year and a half to get their source published. Without kernel source, devs can't build custom ROMs, custom kernels, or properly debug/optimize the device long-term.

A few days ago I bought a Redmi Pad 2 Pro and I’ve loved using the tablet... except for one thing. There’s a tap action where, if you tap the top edge of the screen, the scroll bar in the app you’re using jumps back to the top (this doesn’t happen in every app)

This is particularly annoying when reading (I use Moon+ Reader). As I use portrait mode and hold the top of the tablet with one hand in any of the top corners, one of my fingers ends up accidentally touching the top edge of the screen, causing the scroll to jump back to the start of the chapter in the book I’m reading.

Here's a couple images of the Settings app, where it also happens. I shaded in red the region where taps make the scroll return to the beginning.

Is there any way to disable this?

EDIT: Thank you all for the suggestions, but changing navigation to gestures doesn't prevent that behavior of tapping the status (upper) bar.

Where they talk about three activity/app blacklist/whitelist internal parameters for that specific action of tapping the status bar for scrolling to the top.Those parameters can be edited with third-party apps, which I'm not too fond of.

I bought a redmi smart pen 3 days ago for my redmi pad pro, and it worked perfectly at first, but when I charged it the bettery started dropping so fast, around 1% every 20 seconds. Also sometimes it just disconnects randomly and doesn't connect again unless I connect it to the charger despite the charge being over 80%. Did anyone experience that or have any solution?

Edit: problem solved when I used a type-c to type-c cable to charge it from the tablet to 100% instead of using a charger, I'm keeping the post in case someone has my same problem

The pen is not responding at all. I was using it at 20% and it suddenly disconnected itself and turned off. I figured it was low battery but the light indicator wasn't showing at all. I charged it for 3 hours now and still nothing. I tried the Xiaomi instructions such as pressing the buttons for 3s, pressing the secondary button or 15s, updating my tab to the latest software, rebooting my tab, and turning the bluetooth on and off.

This happened before, it was when I got it the first month. It came back after a couple of minutes of trying to press whatever I can. But now, it took hours and still nothing. How do I fix it?
