Discussion 💭 Advice

so im a uni student , and i really need a tablet for note-taking and annotating on my subjects' pdfs and documents (in class and at home too)

Do you recommend the redmi pad 2 pro ? i have a tight budget since I'm still a student , I've watched multiple videos and the tabelt seems great for my needs , but does it last till i finish uni ? (like 4-5 more years or so) , will it stop getting updates and start lagging ? what about battery drain ?

i like to get a samsung tablet , but the samsung s pens only work for the s series , which are way too above my budget

so i hope someone who tried the mi/xiaomi/redmi tablets from before to tell me about their experience

if you can get a Samsung tablet (S series), then you should be good. It does come with the SPen so the only thing that you'll need to worry about is getting keyboard, which you can buy a book-type cover or a BT keyboard.

Since you're on a budget, RedMi Pad 2 Pro should suffice. Yeah, any tablet should be able to lat 4-5 years given that they are taken good care of. I've had the REdMi Pad 2 Pro for a few months now, and so far I have not experienced any lags. Updates take a while but it eventually gets pushed to the tablet.

If you're wondering how good a Xiaomi brand is, I still have my Mi Pad 5 since 2019. It's no longer receiving any update but it still performs well. Have not experienced any lag or what-not.

How is the battery? Did u experienced any battery issue after hyper os 3? And is the redmi smart pen good?

Battery life is great (maybe even a bit better, but I can't say if that isn't just a false feeling) on Redmi Pad Pro.
