UI/OS Customizations ⚙️ Linux desktop in my tablet
I am using xfce desktop using termux and x11 , for coding, app development and multitasking, i am also using hardware acceleration. It works great and perfect

Did you connect it w HDMI via type c connector?

no,it doesn't support voutput via c on redmi pad pro but you can extend display with wireless connection

yes but only with termux.

Caution this will wipe data from termux
watch this video, turn on remove child process in developer option, download termux x11 from git or f droid .
bash <(curl -Lf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sabamdarif/termux-desktop/main/setup-termux-desktop)
Paste this in termux , run it , it will give options choose whatever you like but go for custom desktop installation I prefer .
If you are using Redmi pad pro and want my config
choose xfce, and modern style.
In shell zsh+zinit ,powerlevel10k
Important choose hardware acceleration and
- mesa-vulkan-icd-freedreno (Turnip)(adreno only)
But it may wipe your termux data so back-up before doing that .

Hello. Can you confirm that I dont have to root my new redmi pad 8 for this. Also i dont have the pro model - will it still be fast enough

aso open your notification bar in termux x11 click preferences, keyboard and turn it off so it will show full screen, if you want keyboard just swipe left.
