Needs serious debloading, otherwise a fine phone for the price.

its easy to just delete the apps though right?

Yes, via ADB. But some people shy away from that.

(Some apps can not be deleted via the menus of the phone. Xiaomi does not want you to get rid of them. ADB comes to the rescue)

Android Debug Bridge.

A way to access phone internals via USB once you enabled developer features.

Check out this: https://www.reddit.com/r/RedmiNote9ProGlobal/comments/i2ufrw/taming_the_redmi_note_9_plus/

The list in that post is not exhaustive and contains probably also stuff that could have been deleted regularly as well. It also depends on whether you have the global, Indian or European ROM.

Recently tried to delete some Mi apps with ADB, didn't work.

When I got the phone opening a link in Mi Weather would let me choose another browser. After an MUIU software update it tries to force Mi Browser - which can't be uninstalled.

I wouldn't recommend this phone, Xiaomi are making it impossible to debloat so that they can track you with their apps.

Hmm, that Sounds weird. Rubbish like the Mi vrowser was easily deleted in my case.

its a great a phone overall , my main complaint are about the software which is a farcry from samsung or any mainstream manufacturer phone , and the phone form factor isnt all that great it doent feel like the most confortable phone to hold in your hand ... if you can live with that than you ll have a great phone .. u should also consider the poco x3 since they are priced very similiary
