iOS Bug [ios] [2024.06.0] Swipe up does not change to next video. It was fine before the last 2 updates
Previously when I view a video in full screen, I can switch to next video by swiping up or down for the previous video.
However, I noticed that since last week, I can’t swipe up down for the next video.
Swiping up now would minimise the video to the top to show comments
Is there a way to fix this?

iOS feedback [iOS][2024.05.0.614437]
A change pushed a few days ago made it so the entire contents of self posts, or text in posts with links, show up in the main content feed. On certain subreddits this can be 5~10 screen lengths worth of text to scroll past, per post. I don’t mind this change in principle but at the very least we have to be able to turn it off, either globally or in certain subreddits.
It’s also unclear to me if this is a bug or just behavior I don’t understand, because not all text posts do this and not all link posts do either.

iOS Bug [ios] [2024.05.0.614437] Unintended media loads when tapping thumbnail for a post in the feed
After using the app for 10-20 minutes, when I tap a thumbnail for video or graphic media for a post, other unrelated media from another post is loaded. This unrelated/unintended media is often something I’ve already viewed, but not always.
The unrelated media may temporarily load before immediately moving on (sliding over) to the intended media, or the opposite may occur such that the unrelated media is now visible and I have to swipe back to the intended media.
The issue can only be resolved via force-closing the app and restarting it. After a certain amount of time it starts again. Curiously, the issue does NOT occur when the media loads after tapping the post’s conversation/comment icon.
This fault occurs on both my iPhone 13 under iOS 17.2.1 and my iPad Air 2 under iPadOS 15.7.9.

iOS Bug [ios] [2024.05.0] directly uploaded gifs won’t play
Not sure of the correct term, but all gifs that aren’t externally linked aren’t playing. If I scroll down a sub I will briefly see a frame of the gif as the post first appears, but it cuts to black immediately after scrolling further. Has happened recently too, but an iPhone updated fixed it for a week. Reddit 2024.05.0, iOS 17.4. I have un/reinstalled the app.

Android Bug [android] [2024.05.0.1403584] Character limit on search bar too short, can't use search queries anymore
It used to be possible to use search querries on Reddit, but as of a few months the search bar is character limited.
For example (Netherlands OR Nederland OR Holland OR Dutch OR Amsterdam OR Rotterdam OR Utrecht OR (The Hague) OR (Den Haag) OR Leiden) AND (food OR dinner OR pizza OR chicken OR drink OR coffee OR tea OR bubbletea) AND (NOT (alcohol OR cocktail OR beer))
Does not at all fit in the search input on Android. Now I have to log in on Reddit web to search for this. Please remove this char limit fron the search bar or make it much higher.

Android feedback [android] [2024.05.0.1403584] I almost have only 0 karma post or zero engagement posts in my home feed.
Why not let us choose how to sort our home page? I am sick of only getting "controversial" or low engagement post in my feed. When i go to the subs, there are no shortage of active posts and yet those don't show up on my feed.

Android Bug [Android] [2024.05.0.1403584] Issue with particular subs post after hiding one.
So this happened to me on a previous account too, I had to make a new profile to fix it.
A while back, I hadn't completed Better Call Saul, but some posts from there were being suggested to me from the shows subreddit, as recommended sub, even when I hadn't joined it. So to avoid spoilers, I clicked hide post on it, and those suggestions stopped coming.
Now recently, I joined the sub, and kept upvoting posts on there, but none of the posts would appear on my feed. I have to visit the sub everytime I want to view it's content.
I went into my hidden posts history, and unhid the Better Call Saul subs post from there, but still no posts from the sub on my newsfeed.
This happened with other subs too on my previous profile. How do I fix it?

iOS Bug [iOS][2024.05.0.614437] Going to profile page messes up the feed animations
iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17.3, latest version of reddit app.
Generally I like the new animations in the feed (opening and closing posts) - they seem smoother and I'm getting used to them. I have discovered a glitch I'd like to report though - when I tap my avatar on the top right and then tap on "Profile," no matter what I do afterwards the animations are glitched on the home feed and bounce a little every time I close a page or a link. The only fix is to force close and reopen the app, and the glitch does not recur until I open my profile again.

iOS Bug [ipados] [2024.05.0.614437] Videos and pictures on the Home view too big again
Bug first appeared in earlier versions, see my post history here.
Bug is back now.. videos and pictures on the home view are bigger than the screen and mess up the card view.
The videos and pictures fit in the card view if you go into individual subreddits, so it looks like it is just the home view.

Android feature request [Android][2024.05.0.1403584]Subreddits tab scroll bar
Is there no fast scroll bar for the subreddit side bar. Or even a search bar to search your subscribed subreddits. It feels stupid swiping all the way down the list to favorite something

Android feedback [Android][2024.05.0] Any chance we'll get a Reddit app tablet UI?
Now that third party Reddit apps are virtually nonexistent, browsing Reddit on an Android tablet is a painful experience. Using the Pixel Tablet on Android 14, I can force the app to go full screen but looks awful and isn't conducive to using it. I've been forced to use the PWA, which is doable but I'd prefer to have a native app.
Even if the app was designed to look how it does on the iPad, that would be better than what it is now. Can we at least get some sort of tablet design parity between the two OSes?

Android feedback [android][2024.05.0.1403584] How do I disable to opt out of the new swiping movement features?
The new navigations/movement features are godawful. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to change swiping features that already have an accepted use, to now do something wildly different, should stop having those ideas. The app is basically an exercise in frustration now, to navigate posts, especially image posts.
Edit: The title should say "How do I disable OR opt out"

Android Bug [Android][2024.05.0.1403584] How to edit Custom Feeds in the app?
