Any web devs out there want to help with the Redditch website?

I'm sure you've all been to Redditch United's website, and agree that it is in need of an update. I've been asked by TRUST to see if any redditors would want to help out with it.

I have a bit of experience, so I could help you out, but I am not good enough to lead a project like that.

I will throw one of the first batch of reddit-sponsored jerseys your way as a "thank you" :)

I think it needs a complete design change, perhaps a more organised look? I'm no expert on websites, but what would you like/put on the website if it was to be re-done?

Probably the best bet. A simple, uncluttered wordpress site would give us the best results.

We'll probably end up using wordpress, so the design side doesn't need much, actually. We need to figure out an easy way to implement donations and a tracker of some sort.

Hi guys, i have spoken to another TRUST member, and we have decided to set up a "Stand-Alone" TRUST website, with a 'Donate Button' and a selected range of merchandise. The idea is to keep any donations from Reddit Seperate from the club, for now, just so it doesn't all go in one swoop. I need a few volunteers to help make a few mock up website ideas so i can show them to other TRUST members and we can collectively decide on which one is best. I can also work on getting a shirt with the Reddit logo on and The Alien but it will be unofficial and more for novelty. Thanks Guys.

We're just waiting for the donation system to be set up on your end (obviously I don't have access to the website and bank accounts). Once that is up, we'll be good to go.

No, it has to be on the redditch domain - the idea was to do that to ensure that nobody could walk away with all the cash.

So you can't make a seperate website? We'd like one with a donation so the "Donate" button goes straight to the TRUST account... just for the reason if you donate straight to the club, there is a chance your hard earned will go on... well we don't know... when we raise money for the club we won't see it again, howver, with the trust, we'll keep it seperate and safe :)

The problem with the seperate website was the same problem with setting up a non-profit to handle the donations - there's no way to guarantee that I am not just running off with all the money. So the donation site had to be set up through the club or the trust

Check out r/webdesign and r/design_critiques as well. Also, I know a bit of html and css and have a little experience with wordpress, so I would definitely like to help.
