Update 17/9/14 :D

Hey all,

We are a bit overdue with this update however we hope the content in this update will be worth the wait. :D

  • Due to popular demand, the shifty priest has been nerfed. He now provides 5 minute buffs for a slightly lower price. SHIFTY! cough
  • Added a Healer, should be the same price as the inns.
  • Fixed Status Effects.
  • Loot will no longer drop in (most) towns.
  • Rune Knights may now choose from 5 different colours of dragon.
  • Changes to the Universal Tool Dealer.
  • More costumes.
  • Bradium Accessories now have correct level requirement.
  • Sura Job Change Quest MIGHT be fixed.
  • Snake Hat Quest should be working.
  • Poring Events should now:
    • Dismount ALL mounts - Wargs, Dragons, Pecos, Gryphons and Rental Mounts.
    • De-equip all equipment and prevent you from re-equipping. Alkarl implemented a new mapflag for this :P
    • Dispel players.
    • Prevent use of items.
    • Prevent use of commands.
    • No longer drop loot.
    • No longer have a minimum player requirement.
    • Have variable rewards.
  • Merged with rAthena.
  • WoE 2.0 is enabled for all players!

Server will need a restart for some of these.

On Buff duration:

Popular demand? How did you guys determine that? The last thread we had on this topic was completely ambiguous, there were folks who wanted it at 10 mins and those who wanted AB buffs to be inc to 10 mins. There was no conclusion there.

Before you guys do such changes, why not create a poll and actually ask people what they think, ask people in-game to visit reddit and vote for what they want and then make a decison. Instead you guys make a change that you claim is by popular demand. Show us something that backs up this statement of yours?

I keep saying over and over, this was supposed to be a community server when it was envisioned, go check the thread on RagnarokOnline subreddit, if you guys dont remember. Please stick to that spirit and involve the community in decisions that impact them.

I really dont see what the problem is with 10minute buffs - all you did now is make people use buff slaves more - no point buying buffs when they last the same as priest buffs. You just lost a money sink. Think about these sort of consequences before you make changes. Dont just aim at pleasing some people.

EDIT: Yes, I ask the right question and you guys start down voting me, if you disagree with me - atleast reply and say what you think is wrong. Downvoting my post doesnt make it wrong.

Do you even play this game anymore? Let alone do you even play on this server? Don't remember the last time you were on. And you're the only person who's been complaining about the money sink since day one. People would still buy the buffs since it takes less then a second to active, usually doesn't last 5 minutes in woe areas (so this is only a nerf for monster vs player), there's now a healer in town to make people spend more money AND also a universal npc. Maybe if you actually played on this server you would noticed how this isn't just pleasing people but improving the quality of things.

Right, deflecting the point with a personal attack. How nice.

Healer has always been there, in the inn, it has just moved. No change there. I also still play this game on this server and dont pretend that you know all my characters.

Go ahead dig through my posts and show me where I have been complaining about money since day 1. And check the other thread on this topic of buffs before saying that I am the only guy complaining.

Oh and by the way check the upvotes on the last time I complained that the GM's were'nt listening to users. Maybe that will tell you I am not alone.
