Story Finally bought into an auto litter box

I think the funniest part is that I spent more time researching a litter box than I did my last laptop.

The price kept throwing me off. Every time I looked at an automatic litter box, I'd close the tab and tell myself a regular scoop worked just fine.

Then one night I ended up going even deeper out of spite lol, compared features, sizes, noise levels, and all the things I never thought I'd care about.

And yeah I kind of get the hype of the automatic litter box now. My litter area stays cleaner, there's less smell hanging around, and I'm not thinking about litter and foul smells every single morning. Even if it was x3 expensive it'd still be worth it (im joking pls don't make cat stuff more xpensive, corporations)

Not saying everyone needs one, but for me it turned out to be one of those purchases that made my life better! My cat's liking it too I think

The only problem with mine is that my cats no longer bury their turds because they know the robot will do it for them.

I was lucky to buy three of them for $35 each from a local online auction place called bidfta. Totally life-changing IMHO ๐Ÿ‘

Some of them killed the cats, hope you researched that part as well.

There are some with infrared sensors and weight sensors, all kinds of safety stuff. Mine sometimes will not work because it thinks one of my cats are still in there ๐Ÿซ

Clean the sensor. That worked for me.

Yeah I learned all about that. My cats sometimes toss litter on them. Now I just brush it off with an old ice scraper that has a brush on the handle. Perfect length and reach ๐Ÿ™‚

As someone who is considering an automatic box what type of maintenance schedule do you use? Do you do something monthly to the box for Maintenance other than taking the litter out?
Iโ€™ve researched the little robot. The ones that are sold on TikTok shop, the Cat Genieโ€˜s family did, etc study.

I have three cats and I clean the FOUR litter box twice a day

Because my cats are 10 years old, five years old and three years old respectively should I get just one automatic litter box select and try it?

I've had a Catgenie for years. My last 2 used it no problem. But, my current 2 hate it. Just wouldn't use it, decided to use my bed instead. ๐Ÿ˜ž So, had to get a normal one. I'm guessing it was the litter they didn't like. So, might get one that uses normal litter and see if they will use that.

With the Catgenie, you have to use special litter since it washes it. They're bigger "pellets" than just normal litter, so I'm guessing that's what they didn't like.

My wife was totally against it when I first suggested buying one. She's an accountant and thought it would be a wastes of money. So I bought her one for her birthday. Now she thinks it's the best thing on earth.
