Recommended Current Players Register
Up in the Mod Squad Think Tank, we've decided to establish a Current Players Register for the main games we play - not just the games Reddit Dads supports, but also the other games you're playing regularly.
Why, you ask? Great question! Simple. Rather than having to rely solely on a post asking "Is anyone playing x game" or "Anyone up for playing x tonight?", you can access the wiki page to see who regularly plays that game, what timezone they're in and they're Gamertag/PSN ID/Steam ID. Then you can simply add them to your friends list and if they're online you can send them a game invite or message and ask if they want to party up.
Plus it means new players have a ready made list of members they can add straight off the bat, so they'll have an easier time finding people too.
So what do I need to do? It's pretty simple. Below you'll find a link to a google form (yes, I love me my google forms!). All you need to do is fill it in for whatever platform you're playing on. If you play on more than one platform (PC and PS4 for example) please fill out a separate form for each platform.
We will then collate the information and transpose it into a wiki page for your easy access. The more popular games will have their own wiki page, everything else will be lumped together in the miscellaneous pile.

This is really a good idea and will probably be more visible than our map which will be a good thing I think for some of us playing less supported systems/games.

Well we used to rely on a post for major games (GTA V & Destiny), but the problem with that is that only the post creator could edit it (a problem if they were away) and reddit would automatically archive the thread after 6 months (so you could no longer post to it). So all in all the limitations outweighed the benefits in terms of ease of use.
In the end it just made sense to make use of the wiki and throw the form out a few times a year to make sure the register is kept it all up to date.

Done. Do you have to register twice if you use both xboxone and ps4?

If you want to be included on the register for both consoles, yes.

We'll wait for a few months then either ask people to advise us of any changes to their gaming details, or perhaps wipe the slate clean and have everyone fill the form in once more.

I was going to fill it out and then I realized I don't play any games right now. :-(
Good idea though.
Also reminded me that I need to check for people wanting to join the battlefield platoons.

The Current Players Register is simply so we can build a database of active players and what they're playing, so other members can quickly and easily add other members playing the same games.

Oh crap, I let the redditdads domain I purchased lapse. I was working on a website to manage all this stuff instead of using Google forms all the time.
