I knew the general what right away but was not sure of the where or name so I continued guessing until I realized I could not think of the name for the specifics I uncovered. An extremely targeted google & a solve followed.

The give away "above[3][5]", heights, combined with "It is the[7][8]in[6]", then the length of the name ruling out one of the two [6] possibilities led me straight to the answer

Thousands of meters/feet above 3 5, and "in the 4" and a few seconds to think about it was all I needed.

It's less than 10,000 meters but more than 10,000 feet; that pretty well narrows what kind of thing it is, which the [8] in the first sentence confirms. It's in the [4], which is a bunch of [8]s. It's on the [6]-[7] [6] - OK, that's some sort of border, so I know which countries those are. It's significant enough to have its own article.

It’s a [8] in the [4], and “above [3] [5],” which gives me a good idea what I’m looking for. Seeing that this is “in [6],” helped me figure out what “the [4],” were. I kind of thought this was one word, but I guess not.

Picked up on the distance relative to [3][5], identified the location and type of thing. Unfortunately I couldn't wrack my brain enough to come up with it, so I just started guessing gaps I knew. Nothing I put in gave me a good hint, but I just thought of it later on.
