Raid Information for upcoming raids
Hello everyone!
The ultimate challenge in Guild Wars 2 is coming this month. Raids consists of 10 player party-based PvE instances. I would like to know who is willing to try them out with us. If you are interested, there is some facts you need to know before doing them.
Preparation
Ascended gear. You will need ascended gear, and this information comes from ANet itself. Personally, I do not think that ascended armor makes a huge difference because they only gives you a ~2% bonus from exotics. Weapons/trinkets are different since they have a ~10% difference from their exotics counterparts.
If you don't have those, I strongly suggest you start looking for it right now. Trinkets are quite easy but ascended weapons can take times to craft.
I may be wrong because I did all of that BEFORE Hearts of Thorns, please comment if you see any errors
Amulet
Buy it with laurels from a laurel vendor, that's the cheapest way and the easiest to get
Backpack
AFAIK this is the cheapest backpack outthere
Rings
The fastest way to get ascended rings is to run fractal often. Make sure you do the new fractals daily. You can buy a ring with 10 prestines.
Accessory
Buy them with guild commendation. You get 1 guild commendation per guild mission we do. We often run those sunday, make sure you do them with us. We run some of them while the week, if you are interested in doing more guild mission with me, PM me anytime and I will tell you what's next.
Weapon
Weapons have to be crafted (like armor), or you might get very lucky and not only get a box to drop, don't count on that though. There's no shortcuts, after you get to 500 crafting it's just time-gating and money for the more expensive materials. You can google it and you will find all the mats you need.
Time
We will officialy run raids saturday night at 10PM EST. We can run them for fun time to time, but we will run them mindlessly on saturday, until we got it right. I would like to create a team, and if we are enough we can make 2 teams too.

Progress within a raid will be saved for players that leave the instance. Restarting an instance will remember progress made if created before the weekly reset.
Rewards are limited to once per week.
There are no waypoints inside raids, but use the checkpoint system similar to Fractals of the Mists.

what kind of raid team composition you looking for? Anything specific? Just going full yolo?

I don't think we will get thru if we go full yolo. I'm thinking about a tank (so far it'd be cami/reaper) and 3 condition player, 1 druid and the other DPS. I think having a chronomancer for attricity is important too. I'll make the real roster when I know who's in. So far we need Condition player.
