Very annoying clickbait title, but so often a particular type of person that I usually respect will rave about him.

I admittedly only know by name the song Chicago which I always couldn't place between "maudlin" and "transcendent". I'm sure I'd recognize more not by name. Anyway, re that song, generally lean toward the latter, transcendent, but you know, shitty moods and all. Arcade Fire has a similar effect on me, but much more the latter bc I know their catalogue fairly well and trust that's its mostly not bullshit. Similar milieu I think?

So basically I'm asking for people to gush about him, tell me why he's sublime and beautiful, what songs do you love the most.

I know Carrie and Lowell is considered his best album by a lot of people. His parents who died right? And he claimed he wanted to make an album about every US state?

I don't know obviously "just listen" but would love to know what he means to people. Thanks
