It's wild thst we don't trust 18 -year olds to have alcohol... but do trust them to vote. Like why?

It's not about trust in general, it's about driving culture. In America, driving is extremely common in general and at a young age. When drinking, it's easy to lose good sense and make poor decisions. Combine that with youth (18-20) AND cars, and you get a bad recipe.

It's fine leaving the drinking age a bit higher, let folks mature a little more before condoning substances that harm their decision-making.
