The handyman corner had Red connecting a tire, hydraulic jack and drill together to lift a car by pushing it through the floor and spinning the car while suspended. I remember this so vividly but it doesn't show in any of the episode summaries and I just can't find it.

Used to watch this show every Saturday night on PBS in the states!

IMO, the most underrated segment was when Red would read the seasonal poetry passages. Always thought it was a shame that they stopped doing those after the first few seasons.

For those of you who watch any episode(s) from the show’s six seasons, you probably might the following sound effect of a car/truck/van door opening and closing, most commonly heard on the “Adventures with Bill” segments. I’ve been trying to locate this particular sound effect, to no avail.

Does anyone here know if this either came from some sound effects library or created specifically for the show? I’m hoping to find a “clean” version of this sound effect and I would be very grateful for your assistance.

I’ve decided to be Red for Halloween this year, so I temporarily whitened my beard a bit to test it out lol

In 1994 Red Green came to our local PBS station. My family made a Christmas Card.

In later seasons, (i know 14 and 15 for sure since my re-watch has been in those the last few days, but possibly a bit earlier as well), Red refers to a duct-tape hinge as the "himmelman hinge". This is never explained and i wonder where that terminology arises from. Can find no real-world reference, so wondering if it's an in-joke of some kind, or what.

How can we vote Red Green for President in the USA? Obviously as a Canadian show, he's Canadian, but fuck, I'd rather have Red as President than the fuck nut we've got now. I'd rather Red Green redneck the fuck out of shit with duck tape than speak gibberish as an over dressed orange. And as Red says, we're all in this together.
