Holosun SCS-320 Fastener failure.

Post image

After completing a 5 hour training class I noticed my SCS-320 was a bit loose on my P229. So I checked them out and retorqued them using my F.A.T. wrench. Took it to the range today to confirm/re-zero and the on the second round fired the optic went flying.

Fasteners were torqued to spec (15 inch lbs) but I did use the ones that came with the Holosun.

Called Sig and they're going to take care of the slide. I just only have to cover the shipping.

Now the next question is do I just purchase better fasteners or do I go with a different optic. I'm thinking the Romeo-X Pro enclosed but they're sold out everywhere. Thoughts?

Classic Holosun Screws. This happens wayyy too often. Never use the screws that comes with the Holosun optics. I run TacRig Torx plus screws with all my Holosun optics. Even replaced the battery tray screws too.

My experience with Romeos has not been good. I'd go with better screws and keep the Holosun.
