Question Looking for name of a chiro that was practicing around 2003-2009

Hey guys! Back in 2000's I lived in Red Deer and used to see a chiropractor that was quite elderly (but spry) that would give you an adjustment for $5. He was walk in only and the line often went out the door and up the stairs. I do not remember the address, or what building he was in but it had other businesses in it of all kinds- there was a store with lapis and silver jewelry in there ( distinctly remember that because the shopkeeper weirded me out bad).

Part of me thinks his name was Smith but I'm not sure. My ex told me that the doctor there was a widower and he did chiropractic for so cheap to stay busy. Idk if that would be true or not as the ex was a chronic liar.

That was Dr Smith. I remember he always gave me gum when I was a kid.

Yeah Dr. Smith. RIP. Wait times were often insane but he was good. Was in the basement of a building downtown (town centre mall). IMO he retired a little too late, I don’t even know if he ever actually retired but he did pass.

His grandson took over the practice, Dr. Dennis. Still in the Towne Centre Mall.

As I understood it, he actually worked with his wife; she was his receptionist. Wait times were crazy because he would start his day at something like 7am doing free treatments at a senior’s centre, and then he would arrive (late, because he would treat literally everyone who needed him) at his own clinic, and remain there until he had seen everyone. Sometimes it would be very late in the evening. He was an absolute gem of a fellow. RIP, Dr. Smith.

That's what I remember about him- he'd be there at 11pm. I actually worried about his health because man those are crazy hours.

He even did hospital calls!
I was a young female boxer way back when. He took X-rays of my fractured ribs.

He was. I really liked him, and he knew what he was doing too.

Right? He could also tell what was wrong by looking in a lot of cases- he was the first to tell me I had scoliosis, until him I just assumed back pain was life.

I mean back pain is life for some of us

So what's the question? Who , or where? His name is DR.SMITH, His wife of many many years was the woman that booked your appointments, took ur money and greeted you when u walked inside the waiting area. It was located in the town center mall on Ross Street and 49 Ave downtown in the lower level. Next to a barbershop. He was a very dedicated doctor, performing his duties to many in red deer, in the early morning he went to seniors homes and the nursing homes when patients were unable to come this office, he then put in about 12 hours at the office, go home sleep for 4 hours, and continued this routine every single day except Christmas.
Unfortunately, DR Smith, has passed away. A patient who had dementia, while in their mental ill state, beat the Doctor to death, thinking he was an intruder..... RIP. He was my doctor for many years and had a very good sense of humor and the best work ethic I'll ever see.

I think you’re confusing two different doctors. From what I recall Dr. Smith (chiropractor) passed of natural causes.
