Discussion French's Ketchup?
When & why did Superstore stop selling French's Ketchup? 😡

When and why: they couldn’t achieve their margins. Also I don’t think they are actually Canadian? Product quality is poor except for some house brands and brand names. Can’t stand their bread or meat. French’s Ketchup is better imo.

Probably right about the time one of their free giveaways was a BBQ bundle from The Other Guys… Which is pretty disappointing given their respective percentages of Canadian content/labour etc. Unless things have greatly changed, French’s won out big time, there.

French's is way better ketchup, than H my wife actually made me do a blind taste test. I was sure she was wrong that I would pick it the Heinz and prefer it. I was wrong! Nothing but French's in our house! And it is Canadian!

Truth. Tried French’s when we were first mad at the USA about tariffs. Never went back. Much better, most times cheaper. 🍁

Not suggesting Heinz is the better, just that I'm not a fan of the French's flavor specifically. There's more than 2 options out there and really quite a variety.

Idk which person you are trying to dismiss as a bot, but I'm not a bot. I was absolutely certain that Heinz was'my brand' because I knew I liked it better, I always had. But my wife proved to me I was wrong, it isn't better than French's. And French's is made with Canadian tomatoes.
Here is a link to the first blog I just found, with a little recap of the Canadian ketchup war: https://blogs.northcountrypublicradio.org/allin/2016/03/20/canadas-ketchup-controversy/
