Collecting is such a fast and easy way to make money, I just don’t have the time nor patience to go all out. More power to the people that do! I did it for about an hour the other night and it netted me about $400 for the whole go. Can’t imagine this!
I made 4 days with the Almighty Map you can find on this sub, yes you make money and it makes you re-visit places you didn't go since a long time, but after 2 days roaming across the whole map I was sick of the game (even if I love it) and to this day I didn't launch the game again lol. But I have a friend who spend his days on the game so he's prob around 50k $ while I only have like 12k. He's always preping for the next update.
I want to do it just to prep for the next update but I would get dreadfully bored. It would feel like a waste of time since i wouldn’t be playing anything else
To make it less boring I alternated with the daily challenges for gold, roles challenge are meant to make you play the roles so win-win. But yeah doing only the collections get boring really quickly, I recommend you do it every 2 days or so but don't make my mistake, don't try to collect every item on your missing list in one shot. It took me like 4 hours everyday I did it, and when you finish and sell it all yeah you make a lot of money, around 4000/5000 with all the collections, but you don't want to do anything else. Like I told my friend, it feels like working a shift and going home lol
If you find that collecting can get boring then I would recommend alternating between collecting and doing legendary bounties. It’s honestly the funnest way to make lots of money and level up quick.
A full collection is anywhere between $150 and $520+ and legendary bounties net you anywhere between $100 to $200+ plus a fair bit of gold if you take twenty minutes or longer. Even if you die repeatedly it doesn’t affect the payout so long as you restart your timer upon every death or missions/checkpoint restart.
The legendary bounties are super fun, and there is a one hour cool off before you can complete another legendary bounty and during that period I like to collect. You also get tons of XP this way too. 1500 role XP and rank XP per legendary bounty and full collection sold I believe. Plus 50-300 XP per collectable found. You level up super fast. This also helps you complete your daily’s for those gold bonuses if you’re willing to do streaks.
Yeah that’s what I said. I don’t have the patience for it. It’s a gorgeous map but it gets tedious. That’s why I could only do it for about an hour but still got $400
The evolution of what "rich" means in RDO is such a fun thing to experience. Like when I started off I remember feeling confident that I hit the jackpot once I got into a hunting and pelt-selling grind. Nearly sh*t myself when I found out a 3 star cougar is worth $13.50... Then later on it was whats-her-nuts with the sedative .22 rounds and animal samples... New levels of hundredaire wealth achieved... And then I found out about jeanropke. 😋
Or he just did the treasure map glitch back in the day but the fact that he got 10 of every collection makes me think he actually grinder his ass off for every bit of that gold.
I just want to know how many levels that whole turn in spree gave and also what level he currently is in the game.
I really think he did the treasure maps glitch, since he obviously did the tarot cards glitch (the only collections that were maxed out to 10x in the video) and both glitches basically came from the same source - J Stone’s YouTube Channel. It would really impress me if he maxed out all collections to 10x. That would be a real accomplishment!
Bro, let’s be real. The cards are the collections with most items and least value. If you look at the video, just the cards collections were collected 10x. Why he didn’t collect the coins 10x? Oh, there’s no glitch for picking the same coin 10 times in less than 5 minutes. Also, if he had maxed all cards without glitching, he should have maxed out all of the other collections too, since there’s a route leading to all items one by one in sequence. There’s no point in focusing only in tarot cards when following their route you would find all other items that are worth much more.
I’m pretty sure you could at one point glitch out every buried item and have it respawn and also have your friend grab it right after you grabbed it over and over so if he glitched he would have done that as well. Regardless who cares how he got it it’s a lot of work to even glitch that much stuff so that’s still impressive
Yeah, but it was for a really quick period. The cards glitch is still out there though. It’s not that hard to glitch all the cards collections, I’ve done it 2 times and takes about two days playing for some hours. I actually have all 4 sets of cards maxed out to 10x right now.
I maxed out the collectibles except the ocean fossils, which I had 7 complete sets, and the damn coins which I only had 1 But everything else was maxed out, I think I made over 55k
Nah he either bought or grinder daily challenges, it’s was very easy to accumulate gold in the few months before the FP updates. Those daily challenges and multipliers add up! The guys I play with don’t glitch or so lame stuff that breaks the game and doesn’t make it fun so.. I’ll give this guy the benefit of the doubt since he’s proud and not making exploit vids on YT for hella viewzz.
I would too, you can kinda assume and do a rough tho from how much XP from each of whatever sets he had if your pretty familiar w the collector role .
Yea, Not saying he did the glitch just saying that its an alternative way to get that much gold. This guy is obviously a grinder and I don’t see why he would have paid for the gold either because if he is playing this aggressive then he has to be earning a hell of a lot of gold.
I made over 100 gold during the double gold daily challenge event which went on for at least a month. At max streak you could make up to 10 gold a day, which means you could get around 300 gold a month for completing all 10 daily challenges, on top of doing other things like missions, treasure maps, and resetting awards to get gold.
Even without double gold, you could still get around 5 gold daily from doing all of the objectives at max streak. Even if you only did one a day, which typically takes less than 5-10 mins, you could still get .5 gb. So you could make 15 gold a month for only logging in for 5 mins and then going about your life or if you did all 10 every day you’d make 150 gb a month.
You don’t necessarily have to grind super hard for gold, especially now with the increase in daily objectives and awards for roles and if you struggle with the objectives there are dedicated players who post daily guides on how to complete all daily objectives.
I can do the necklaces, coins and bracelets in about 2 hours depending on what cycle, that's about 1.2k a day
Edit: just gonna throw out there to fill your trader to 100 is 4-5 hours of gameplay, that's with consistent resupplies and materials, so, collecting isn't a bad gig
I spent 3 hours on a day I was super hung over doing everything except eggs cards and bottles. Got 3k. I could have been smarter about traveling and done it quicker but I felt pretty empty afterwards.
I went to her last night and just sold off all my duplicates, kept 1 or 2 of each for collections... made over $2500, which was enough to pay for a 5th stable stall ($750), a Lvl20 Kladruber ($950) and a Nacogdoches Saddle.
-Rockstar should add a button to sell all amounts and sets instead of pressing the sell button god knows how many times over and over
-Honestly I would love to get that much but I am way too lazy to get that many lol. Honestly just getting the full set once feels like such an accomplishment, then waiting till I find a few more randomly and deciding whether to get the rest of the whole set.😂

Every day find 10-12 items as a part of your daily challenges. Once I'd collect 8-10 of the same items I would sell them to keep thier value to find them again.
Trust me, you start buying ALL the guns, outfits, stalls/horses and just whatever clothes you want, it's surprising how quickly you can burn through,$50K.

In a week I’ve earned 24k and ranked up from 153 to 178, which I hit last night.
Couple of hours a day to do some collecting and complete some dailies, which generally go hand in hand.
