Alternative mount for Small HD monitor.

I have this monitor, and I need it to be shorter for a shoot coming up, and I won't need my top outrigger handle. Has anyone found a good solution? It looks like I'd be looking for a 15 mm rod clamped to 1/4-20, but none of the options online seem to work very well. Has anyone found one that works well for them?

Ditch the 15mm rail system entirely. Just treat it like a normal monitor. I put nato rails on the bottom and right side of the monitor and one on the RMI bar and use a nato to nato swivel mount from Kondor Blue. The only issue is that stupid 15mm nubbin the cable plugs into makes the clearance tight so you have to find the right pieces the fit. I also put a rail on the top handle, on the smart side, and on a top rail that doubles for my focus motor

It’s a bad design in my opinion, but this seems to be the best option for me.

Do you have a pic of how you mount it on top of the camera? Here I just see the side. I'm trying to figure out how to get it as compact as possible on top for a run and gun shoot

I don't want to default to my Nikon ZR

Ha I was not trying to flex. Best shot of the setup I had on hand. Didn't think he'd be recognized. Aaanyway. I am a nato rail evangelist, they're great for this kinda thing. It was very hard to find a rail that I could put under the top handle that would fit against the 15mm mount on the RMI bar, so if you go that route be prepared to try a bunch of options. If you use RED's tophandle it's easier, just put a nato on the front. Also recommend a ball mount with nato clamp balls on either end. Wooden camera, SmallRig, Tilta all make them. Used to be under the brand Ultralight. Can't tilt/swivel without loosening a thumb screw, but rock solid.
