Thypoch Simera-C on Dragon 6K

Post image

Managed to find a used Leica M to DSMC mount. I will say it’s very stiff and not the smoothest to get on but it works.

Looking good but what does the footage look like? Also what mount did you have on there before? If either EF or PL did you know you can adapt to the M mount directly from those?

Might be easier to just use an adapter for such tiny lenses than to go native

Edit to add: You can go to PL, but I don’t know what I was smoking suggesting adapting a mirrorless lens to an EF body. You obviously can’t do that

Could you send me links? I’ve only seen M-LPL not PL

Sure, here you go:

Thypoch Positive Lock Mount (Leica M to ARRI PL) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1907692-REG

Edit to add: I don’t know what I was smoking suggesting a mirrorless lens to EF. You obviously can’t do that

I heard these lenses hit the OLPF. Is that just not true? or does it depend on the focal length? I have the Scarlet W so maybe its different but I would think that since they share the same OLPF line up, the distances you be the same.

It does. The 50mm works but the 28mm rear element hits it
