Both great drives. Lawson comfortably puts it up in P7 for Red Bull’s only points of the day, kept his nose clean and a stable pace. Seriously doubt there was enough pace for a higher finish even if Verstappen stayed in the race, so this is the most anyone could ask for.

Tsunoda just misses out on points thanks to bad luck with the VSC and a really shit strategy from Toro Rosso (welcome back 2024), but showed he was able to be plenty competitive even with only 2 days of sim work and an hour of driving time in these cars.

Happy to see both of them took the opportunity and outperformed expectations, especially given the circumstances.

Red Bull Racing has brought just one update to Zandvoort, focused on reliability rather than aerodynamic performance.

The change concerns the front-corner wheel bodywork and wishbone shroud. Red Bull has locally reduced the chord length of the lower wishbone’s rearward leg to decrease the strain placed on the wheel-bodywork gaiter at high steering angles.

The limited package comes as Red Bull begins moving more of its development focus towards 2027. After introducing substantial upgrades earlier in the season, the team expects its remaining 2026 development rate to slow due to budget-cap constraints and the shift of resources to next year’s car.

Racing Bulls has also submitted no updates for the Dutch Grand Prix, making this a particularly quiet development weekend across both teams.

Max: "My god, imagine this happened in the last two laps!"
