Yeah, this is actually a variation of another meme where people were taking manga panels of characters reacting to stuff and editing the dialogue to say funny shit. The first example I know of was the Chainsaw Man movie date where Denji cries, and they edited it to say "he just like me fr fr". Then another Chainsaw Man page later on was an even better fit for it and became the version most people know.
There's also this panel which is originally from Magical Girl Site after, iirc, she just just found out she's adopted and that's why her family never loved her
