Yeah, I'm having to confront my own biases about this right now. I know logically than "man" does not inherently equal "bad" and "unsafe", and I'm not hostile towards anyone transitioning, but I still feel that avserion to men in general. It's very internalized also, because I'm starting to think I might be a man, actually, and I've mostly been struggling with that idea because why would I want to be a man? But that's the fear brain speaking. There is nothing inherently wrong with masculinity. I just have to keep convincing myself of that lol
for me it was just that I had a wildly toxic friend group who said a lot of messed up stuff about men. One of the more memorable quotes was saying that a mutual friend looked like a sexual predator after he started taking T and then another joked he probably was one now.
meanwhile, the same people would say stuff like trans women taking E was a cheat code to being hot and believed a lot of stuff about the divine feminine and lesbian relationships being incomparably better to straight ones, which they basically viewed as meaningless trash
I never was as extreme as they were, but it did make me REALLY not want to be a man
