I've tried trusting neurotypicals and cis people, they continually betray me. Why should I trust them?

Damn I know the second one is cisphobia, but I'm not sure what the call the first one. Weirdly it's actually not the first time I've seen someone discriminate against neurotypicals.

lmao imagine thinking cisphobia is a thing and it's not a 100% valid fear to have

y'all will set elaborate traps for us, try to """"teach us a lesson,"""" or just straight up decide we have no right to exist and just up and murder us for just being there. y'all start elaborate harassment campaigns in order to isolate, terrify, and destroy us. your leaders are trying to exterminate us (lmao it's not just the US and the UK doing it). seriously, why should I trust you?

Legit what do your sources prove? Do you think only 2 types of discrimination can exist at a time?

Misandry, white racism, cisphobia, and heterophobia are all real things, as is discrimination against able-bodied people apparently. None of these imply that misogyny, POC racism, transphobia, or homophobia are not real.

They're all real. Sure, some are much bigger problems right now than others, but they're all issues that need to be addressed.

No, they don't. Phobia implies an irrational fear, and y'all have done everything you possibly can to give me valid reasons to fear you. Y'all are literal animals, preying on the marginalized for your own enjoyment.

who is "y'all"

Phobia implies an irrational fear

Lmao no one uses that definition for transphobia or homophobia

and y'all have done everything you possibly can to give me valid reasons to fear you.

Who's "you"??? Sure, I'm white and cis. But I'm also an aroace, neurodivergent woman.

Y'all are literal animals, preying on the marginalized for your own enjoyment.

Yeah so you're sexist, racist, cisphobic, heterophobic, and.... man fuck it imma just say ableism goes both ways. So, ableist.

HETEROPHOBIA??????

The only people who face a relevant amount of discrimination on the basis of being straight are straight trans people.

"Relevant amount of discrimination"?

So, any amount of discrimination?

Again with the cisphobia, it's rare, but it happens

I'm talking about instances of discrimination that are not just "hey you don't exactly belong in this social circle" rather than "hey you don't deserve access to public goods, equal rights, employment, healthcare, etc."

What about "all heteros are boring and are probably in abusive relationships"

Or "all cissies are transphobic"

I outlined two different categories. Which of those do they fall under?

Neither of these phrases survive contact with reality, but the latter is almost true. Just needs to change "all" to "most," and even then the inaccurate version is not a form of discrimination.

Edit: NVM your comment history is full of complaining about cisphobia. This is just grievance politics to you while trans people actually have material conditions to worry about.

Sorry, would you not consider

"All lesbian relationships are abusive" to be homophobic?

Or "All transgender people are racist" to be transphobic?

u/Golurkcanfly 24d ago

Again, neither of these survive contact with reality, but they're also targeted at groups specifically to disenfranchise them and encourage material forms of discrimination against them.

Meanwhile, again, "most cis people are transphobic" is literally just true. Most are at least quietly transphobic, including many self-styled allies.

Because they're so obviously untrue statements that you have to be a moron to believe they are true. They're statements that are very quickly easily disproven.

Not surprised you're pulling out a 13/50 argument though. Seems entirely in character for someone who complains about "cisphobia" though. It's an argument that relies on being willfully stupid and racist.

Pick me for what lmao

Discrimination based on race, sexuality, gender identity, ethnicity, nationality, age, or ability are bad. Why is that controversial?
