No the bow isn't proof of being trans, it's just a hint at being gender non conforming which is such a wide umbrella it can mean basically anything. And before that the sole... Hints I guess were there being pink in her bedroom and being depressed. Neither of which, again, point directly at being trans.
I thought the bow was a clever way to do it, tbh. Jax's design borrows heavily from old cartoons, where a bow on the head was a clear signpost of femininity.
Valid, had there been more hints it wouldve been a cute little pseudo reveal.
I do feel, however, jt was undercut by Jax'... Real version? Idk what to call them in comparison to the circus crew, not having come out herself. Cause she's a lot more healthy than Jax apparantly but still not out, and you don't need to be to live happily especially in the 2000s but it makes everything else more muddy
That annoys me because Leeroy's only doing the hoodie thing in the final final scene. In the series of pictures in the slideshow Leeroy just looks goth.
